Ch 8: The UA Sports Festival Part 2

Y/n POV

It was the last game. The tournament style 1 on 1 fights. We had to knock the opponent out of the ring or incapacitate them. I was super pumped, renewed by my uncle's words of encouragement. Midnight began to pick match ups when Ojiro dropped out. Chivalry isn't dead. 

"They're so manly." Kirishima was crying manly tears. Midnight showed the match ups. I was against a kid named Nirengeki Shoda.

(A/n- i know he dropped out to i just need him for plot. The bracket is gonna work a little different here)

Bakugou was against Uraraka first. Oop that will be a conflict of interests for a lot of people. There were side games that people could participate in. I went up to the stands and sat and watched. It helped me relax and rest up a bit. Plus watching everybody play the games was entertaining to say the least. Cementoss came out and made a ring for the tournament. If i tried that it wouldn't be nearly as smooth. The others joined me in the stands to watch the first match, Midoriya vs Shinso. Bakugou sat next to me. 

Stupid Midoriya. He spoke to Shinso and Shinso got control of him. Shinso must have told him to walk to the edge because Midoriya started moving. Then right before he walked out, there was a big shock wave and Midoriya managed to regain control of himself. But he broke his finger in the process. Stupid but effective.  Shinso was trying to get him to talk but Midoriya figured it out. Then Midoriya literally threw that motherfucker out.

"He used that on you didnt he?" Kaminari asked him. I looked to Bakugou. He scowled.

"Shut your damn face sparky." I punched him in the arm. He glared at me and i glared back. He broke first. I had the next match. I stood up and walked past the boys. 

"Wish me luck." I flashed a peace sign and smiled. I walked down to the arena. I could hear Present Mic introducing me.

"And now we have Nirengeki Shoda vs a girl who's held onto her 2nd place state y/n l/n. She's got a powerful quirk and he's from an underdog class. Who's gonna take the win?" That was a bit much. I stepped in the ring and gasped. I can bend this stuff. Maybe I'll try something silly. Yea I'll do that. I looked over at the boy who i was to fight. 

Present Mic announced we could start, and i waited like i always do. I havent attacked first since that day and it always worked so i wasnt gonna start now. The boy charged at me. I took a deep breath, and kicked the ground up. It wasnt a flashy kick, but the earth pillar that appeared underneath his feet was flashy enough. It launched him out of the ring. As he was falling i used air to break his fall, but fall he did and outside of the ring. 

"Yaaassss that's my best friend," i heard Mina shout. I waved at her on my way back up.

I ran back to the stands. Shoto's match was gonna start soon. I reached the stands in time to see them just about to start. Sero got the jump on him and was getting closer to throwing him out. But something in Shoto was different. He froze Sero and half the stadium in a few seconds. I melted the ice in front of our class and stared at Shoto in shock. It was a powerful move but he did overdo it. His right side was freezing over. He unfroze Sero and the teachers took care of the rest of the ice. I lent a hand as much as i could without exhausting myself. 

Kaminari and Shiozaki fought. Kaminari lost. He lost bad and quickly. Mina beat Aoyama with her superior mobility and resilience.

"Yes best friend on that queen shit!" I yelled down at the ring. Mina turned towards me and flashed a peace sign. I gave her one back and sat down back in my seat next to Bakugou.

Bakugou's POV

She was so damn cute. I'm gonna win this and make her mine.  Deku had to ruin my train of triumphant thought with his damn mumbling. The 4 eyed motor engine fought the tech girl from the support course. She made him her personal showcase.  This went on for 10 minutes before she finally stepped the fuck out. That pervy grape spoke up. If he says anything about l/n i'll burn him to a crisp. Ponytail and Birdbrain fought. Birdbrain won. Shitty hair Kirishima and shitty hair 2.0 gray edition fought. It was a tie. I fight round face next. I go to the warmup room and start stretching out.
