October 31st, 1993
Severus was just finishing up the wolfsbane potion Dumbledore was requiring him to make for Lupin, when he paused in his work as something caught his eye.
He looked up and sighed at the sight of his best friend.
"Is it too much?" She asked
He glanced at her again before pinching the bridge of his nose.
"You cannot go in front of the students like that, it's completely inappropriate."
She frowned as she looked down at her clothes in confusion.
"....I.... don't understand? There's no cleavage, my skirt goes to my mid thigh, I'm barely wearing makeup!" She cried
Severus sighed again, his poor clueless friend had no idea the allure she exudes to most of the male population. Although maybe he could have some fun with it...
"I have to take this potion to Professor Lupin when I'm done, care to accompany me?"
She shrugged his odd behavior off quickly. "Sure"
She came closer to inspect what he was doing, careful not to touch anything without express word to do so. She was well versed in Severus's potion making process by now.
"What are you making anyway?" She asked.
Severus wanted her to know, he'd been sworn to never say anything about it... but he couldn't help it if she figured it out on her own.
"What does it look like?" He asked instead
She glanced at him before smirking at his challenge. She leaned a little closer over his shoulder inspecting all the ingredients with keen eyes.

Powdered Moonstone
Powdered Silver
A vial with what looked to be a dew drop in it.
Aconite
....
"You're brewing Wolfsbane potion." She deduced.
Severus smiled at his friend, always so clever.
"Yes, I was asked to."
She glanced at the ingredients again before leaning over the cauldron and slightly inhaling the fumes.
"But this isn't Belby's recipe...?"
He smirked at her as he continued to stir
"No it isn't."
She narrowed her eyes at him before glancing at the ingredients again.
"This is my recipe..?"
"Your recipe works better than Belby's." He stated simply.
She looked at him incredulously.
"It also requires my blood to work, and makes the drinker impossibly euphoric for as long as the potions in their system! It's dangerous! I haven't worked out all the kinks in it yet!"
"I know, that's why I'm working on it." He told her amused.
"You can't give that to Lupin, Severus! It's highly addictive still!"
He scoffed at the woman
"I'm not, his is over there." He inclined his head towards his work desk. "I figured if I was already making one, I might as well figure out what's going wrong in yours."
She smiled at him before she frowned in confusion again.
"How are you going to test it? Lupin can't take both."
He raised his eyebrows at her.
The confusion cleared from her face in understanding.
"Oh right, me. Duh."
He shook his head at her fondly.
She easily forgot she was incredibly powerful, maybe even more than Dumbledore or The Dark Lord had ever been.
