November 1993

Sirius had not expected to see his little blueberry so soon after their re-meeting on Halloween. But there she was just a few days later, wandering the forest's edge with a deceptively small bag slung over her frame.

Sirius was in his animagus form, it was easier to hide from the dementors in this form.

"There you are! I've been looking all over for you. We should really find a good place for you to hide out. There's a good cave nearby, we could try that. Oh! But first, I brought food and water."

His blueberry dug through the bag on her side before pulling out a large Tupperware filled with some sort of warm food.
Sirius smelled meat.

"So I made you this, but I'm not sure how malnourished you are so I also brought soup I made. It's not much but I figure as we get your health back up we can work on eating heavier foods."

The woman smiled at him kindly.

Sirius was overwhelmed with gratitude for his little blueberry, she was always so kind.
She sat down in the grass as she pulled the lid off a second Tupperware, containing the delicious aroma of a homemade soup.
Sirius looked in the bowl as she set it down, inhaling the aroma of what had to be chicken noodle soup. There were a million other things mixed in as well, vegetables, the chicken, the noodles.

He could smell rosemary in there.

As soon as his blueberry put the bowl on the ground Sirius was eagerly lapping it up.

She giggled at the man
"Easy now, remember we're trying to prevent you getting sick. Go slow I made plenty."

Sirius knew Mason was a fantastic cook, she called it mediocre in comparison to the elves, but he knew she loved cooking. It was a task that was the same no matter what world you were in, muggle or Wizarding. When they were in school, she and the rat had often snuck off together to go cook in the kitchens with the elves. Food was something the two had shared together, and the other three boys had often enjoyed the fruit of their labor so to speak.

As Sirius was lapping up the soup hungrily, he noticed the girl take out a separate bowl from her bag and bottle of water. She poured the water into the bowl and placed that next to him as well.

"I've brought quite a few things I think you could use, until I come visit you next. I'm not sure how often I'll be able to, but maybe when I do....ugh!"
The woman groaned
"It sounds so selfish of me to ask, and you don't have to! But I was hoping you could tell me more about you? Or I guess specifically, how I know you? I just... I remember so much and nothing at all. It's incredibly frustrating, and when I ask Severus he always gives me short to the point answers with no explanation that are incredibly vague. Remus always acts like he's done something wrong, and he doesn't answer much either unless it specifically pertains to him. So I guess I was just hoping maybe you would?"

She had an anxious look in her face, and Sirius couldn't help but feel a little guilty. He got sent to Azkaban just after she lost her memory, he never even went to see her. He'd wanted to, James and he had fought tooth and nail to try to go see her, she was their friend. An excellent friend who had saved them from deadly harm on multiple occasions.

His blueberry was a friend, family, a sister.
She watched over Regulus for him after the boys had graduated because they were in the same year.
She was a member of The Order with them when she herself had graduated.

He should have gone to see her, no matter what anyone had said.

He nodded his head the best he could in this form.
His blueberry let relief run through her body at his acknowledgement.

"Perfect, alright well we should start heading towards that cave I mentioned before. i think it'll work as a good place for you to hide, until you finished whatever it is you're here for."

It was as she was gathering the bowls and Tupperware to put back in her bag she brought it up.

"You know Harry plays seeker for the Gryffindor team, he's good, youngest in a century.... there's a game on Saturday if your up for it." She smirked at him.

Sirius rose to his feet, perked up his ears, and started wagging his tail.

Late November 1993

Sirius was incredibly grateful to his little blueberry. She had visited him no less than three times since that first Halloween, and he couldn't express in words what it meant to him to have her there.

"So how's Harry doing? Swear James pouted for weeks when he lost a match." He asked her

The girl had brought sandwiches for lunch, and packed him a few more meals to span the next few days.

She finished the bite in her mouth before replying
"Fine I think, I don't really see him much. But his friend, Hermione, she's in my class, she seemed to think he was doing better now anyways."

"He's not in your class?"

She shook her head
"No, but I seem to have all the older students. Pretty much all the Weasley's minus Ronald and Ginerva, I have the Malfoy boy plus Hermione, in my third years. But the older group, I pretty much have an entire class made up of all the gryffindor students, And a good majority of my Slytherins want me to open up a study hall on Saturdays....it's insanity!"

His blueberry sighed

"I mean don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly glad the students are so interested in the studies, it's just a lot of work. Plus I have to keep up to date in the Potions curriculum and DADA, Severus and Remus always ask me to cover their classes when they're out... I don't want to walk in there not knowing what I'm talking about..."

Sirius wanted to snort at her insinuation the students were interested in their studies. He knew so many students were taking the class purely because she taught it.

He would have too had he still been in school. He knew James and Remus would have as well, he was very aware of the crushes both his friends had harbored for the girl. He himself had never felt that way about her, despite all the rumors. she was his sister, more like family than his own blood, just as James had been.

There had been a small part of him, once upon a time, that had hoped she might start to fancy Regulus when they left school. The two had spent a lot of time together from what he heard, towards the end. Sirius likes to think she was the reason Regulus tried to back out of Voldemort's following before he died.

He'd never know for sure now though.

"So Christmas is coming up." He mentioned to her.

She hummed her response to him

"I was thinking Harry could use a new broom, since the last was demolished by that stupid tree..."

She squinted her eyes at him
"Why do I feel I won't like where this is going?"

"Well I want to get him one, but it's not like I can go into town... for obvious reasons...."

Her eyes narrowed more.

"Iwashopingyoudgetitforme!"

Her eyes widened as she caught his words.
"Sirius no! I cannot be giving gifts to students!"

"Your not giving it to him I am! Please? I'd pay you back when I can!"

He gave her his best puppy eyes as he clasped his hands together in front of him.

He watched her closely for the moment she caved.

Her shoulders slumped.
"I hate you."

"YES!! You're the best little blueberry!"
