Harry and his friends continued their visit with Hagrid well after Dumbledore had left.

Though Harry had a difficult time keeping the guilt eating him, at bay.

He still hadn't figured out that egg.

The young Gryffindors chatted about menial things with Hagrid for a while, until they heard voices from outside approaching the hut.

"You really didn't have to escort me Argus, I'm much tougher than I look." They heard.

Harry turned quickly to look out the window.

He knew that voice.

Hagrid seemed unconcerned as Ron raced to look out the window as well.

"Is that Miss Night with Mr. Filch?" Ron asked.

"I reckon, she been visitin' me ever since t' article came ou." Hagrid replied.

"She has?" Hermione asked next.

"Bou the only other person who knew bou me 'sides. Dumbledore." He told her.

"Good woman Mason is." He told the room "real kind. Yeh know she's te one who helped me ready me self te be a teacher? You remind me o 'er when she was in school 'mione, always worked real hard. Shame 'ery thing that 'appended te 'er."

"With Snape you mean?" Harry asked only vaguely bitter.

"Professor Snape?! No no no, wit 'er brother... awful man e is! Shame betrayin yer family lie tha'"

"Hang on! I thought Miss Night didn't have any family..." Hermione said.

"Not any by blood mind ya', not tha it should ma'er"

"What happened Hagrid?" Ron asked

"Turn 'er in te you-know-who, he did. Poor Ting, u'erly broken when she made it back..."

"What?" The trio asked shocked.

"I didn't know that... no one ever told me...." Harry said before looking back outside to Meae talking animatedly to Mr. Filch.

"She ended up alright in the end, took her a bit though. Yer dad and his mates helped I think."

Harry turned back to Hagrid "my dad?"

"Yea, Mason was in a bit of a spot before, yer dad and those friends of his kept people off her when she came back, they was a good lot, them boys were." He told Harry before Ron interrupted from the window again.

"Blimey! Is Mr. Filch actually smiling at her?! I didn't think he could do that..."

Hagrid had a soft look on his face as he replied.
"Sure he does! She's bout the only person that's nice to him, mind ya, but he likes her alright the same. Got on his good side sometime she was in school here she did, he been smilin at her ever since. She even sent him exotic treats fer Mrs. Norris while she was travelin about."
