August 1994

It had been two days since the 'incident'.

Meae had come back to reality non-the-wiser of why the men in her home were so worried about her.

Moony and Padfoot had taken to hovering around her, as if waiting to see it happen again.

It never did.

The four had finally sat down, after a strong lecture from Meae about how she was fine and she had no idea what they were talking about, and discussed how life was going to look for Harry moving forward.

The three adults would be taking care of Harry, though Padfoot had sole custody and therefore had final decisions when it came to his well-being. Harry finally conceded defeat when it came to finances. The three adults agreed that They made more than enough money to provide for Harry, and he therefore didn't need to use his money for anything. It was his to save and have when he got older, but not before then.

It took a little strongholding on their part to get him to agree, but he finally relented when they told him 'this is what families do'.

It was at breakfast the morning he and Meae were going to head to Diagon Alley, that he finally asked.

"What do you do for work?"

Padfoot and Moony looked up at him from their breakfast, Meae had made them all omelettes that morning.

"Oh!" Padfoot cleared his throat as he wiped his face.
"Well Moony and I here both work for Blueberry over there. She's about the only person mental enough to hire us."

Harry saw Meae produce a smirk from the corner of her lips as she continued eating.

"So you do like paperwork or something?" Harry asked.

That seemed very boring to Harry and not at all what he thought they were capable of.

Paperwork was a waste of their talents.

"Oh no nothing like that." Moony said "we work for different parts of her overall company. Night industries is vast amongst the Wizarding And Muggle worlds, honestly, I can't remember everything it's a part of."

The men all turned towards Meae.

"Well, there's the clothing lines for one, my work with the American National quidditch team. the contracts in the Aurors department of the ministry, that's where Siri works, and the free clinics run through Saint Mungo's, Remus manages those for me."

Harry stared at the woman wide eyed.

"You do all that and still find time to teach all year long?" He asked.

Meae smiled and shrugged at him "Honestly, most of it runs itself, but before Siri and Rem took over for me I'd do as much of their jobs as I could during the summer and on holidays. It's much easier when it's all spaced out through the year."
