Severus Snape dropped the newspaper on their lap as he sat in his usual seat.

Sirius Black Cleared of All Charges
Real Culprit at large once again.

The Blood of Night has done it again Wizards and Witches! This summer has brought with it one of the most exhaustive and exciting trials of the decade, the retrial of once accused mass murderer Sirius Orion Black.

Black had, some 12 years ago, been accused of murdering thirteen muggles and one Peter Pettigrew, along with betraying the whereabouts of James and Lily Potter leading to their untimely demise at the hand of you-know-who.

However, The Blood of Night has brought to light new evidence IN DEFENSE of the accused.

One such being the once-thought-to-be-dead, Peter Pettigrew himself! Alive and well.

This trial has brought to light many disturbing countenances of the Ministry's incompetence in reference to justice.

The Blood of Night referenced their initial arrest and sentence of Black as unjust and unfounded. There had been no trial, and there had been no further investigation on the ministry's part to verify their sentencing.

The trial had taken well over seven days to complete, of which ended with forty-seven to three in favor of the accused.

Sirius Black has been found innocent and all charges against him have been dismissed.

Charges have now been brought up against Peter Pettigrew, for the murder of  thirteen muggles and James and Lily Potter, on October 31, 1981.

In another stunning bought of incompetence brought on by the ministry of magic, Peter Pettigrew has escaped custody and is now at large.

If you know anything regarding his current whereabouts we ask that you please contact the Auror's office and the Auror in charge, Kingsley Shaklebolt, with any information.

Severus sighed as he finished reading the pertinent parts out loud.

He set the paper in the stack of others sitting on the nightstand.

Severus had made sure to bring a copy of the paper every time Mason had been mentioned, despite the room's occupant not being able to read them.

The house was quiet, only the sound of Severus's breaths could be heard amongst these halls.

"Only one incident to report for the year. she brewed Amortentia for one of my classes.... I should have known what it would do to her."

Severus sighed as he shook his head

"She can't even remember your face, and yet it's still you she smells in her Amortentia... I should have known, you were everything to her. It only makes sense that even when she can't remember you, she still holds you in her heart. Her secrets were always kept best there..."

Severus glanced at the date on his pocket watch, and smiled slightly at the picture inside.

Meae had given him the watch for his 17th birthday, inside she had placed a picture of the two of them, a still muggle picture.

'It's like they capture a piece of your soul, and now you have proof that you hold mine.'

"She plans to take Harry." He told the lump next to him.

"She, Black, and Lupin. She's been writing me about flats in London. She's decided the two cannot be left alone after all these years, and has demanded they come live with her now."

Severus chuckled.

"Sounds like her doesn't it? She's even gotten them jobs, to keep themselves occupied. Force of nature that woman. Not that you don't know..."

Severus held his breath as he looked at the quiet form laying still next to him.

"She says a storm is coming..."

He placed his hand over his left forearm as he stared into the empty space in front of him.

"I'm inclined to believe her... I just wish I knew what it was."
