October 1994

Severus and Meae stood on the outskirts of the great hall. Meae was scowling in the direction the Weasley twins were just escorted out of.

Severus snorted at his friend quietly

"Just let it go Meae, Dumbledore probably had his reasons-"

She scoffed cutting him off

"Oh! Yeah! Right! His reasons are, the minister doesn't like me... now tell me, how is that more important than the safety of the kids here?"

Severus sighed at her incredulity before replying "None of those students are hurt, they would have taken those aging potions regardless of-"

"Well they wouldn't be in the hospital wing if he'd let me put my own enchantments on that jumped up Holy Grail!" She growled under her breath.

"Masondrit!" He scolded.

She deflated slightly at his tone.

Severus took a deep breath to compose himself.

"Look, I know you're stressed out because of whatever bad feeling you've had for a while now. However, this is not the time, nor the place to let those frustrations be known. You need to calm down before I do it for you." He warned her.

Meae grit her teeth in frustration before letting out a large breath, allowing her emotions to deflate with her.

"I'm just on edge, I'm sorry. This feeling keeps nagging at me, like there's something I need to pay attention to, something I'm....missing? Whatever it is, I'm not seeing it, and the feeling gets stronger everyday." She told him.

Severus looked over his only friend again.

He took note of the stress behind her eyes, the rigid posture of her body even in a semi-relaxed state. He noticed the dark circles under her eyes, telling him she hadn't been sleeping well.

He scoured through his memories of the last few days to see if there was anything else he'd noticed but didn't think of at the time.

She hadn't ate breakfast this morning.

Actually, now that he thought about it, she hadn't really been eating the past few days.

He made a note to himself to make sure she started eating her meals again, and decided he'd start taking her for walks in the evening around the castle before they retired for the night.

It wouldn't take away the stress she felt, but it should help at least to keep her healthy in the meantime.

Severus went back to watching the students mulling around the Cup.

Eternal Glory

Severus scoffed to himself.

What a stupid thing to risk dying over, though Severus supposed the thousand Galleons prize, would be nice to win.
