Issaiah Soul Love
It's like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and my worries have washed away. Foreign telling me that he will no longer interfere with the relationship between Major and I was the best news that I could receive. Foreign has stuck to his word and it's honestly progressed my relationship with both of them. We're a month in and there haven't been any problems. However there's still this uneasy feeling that hasn't gone away. Major hasn't done or said anything to make me question how genuine his intentions are, but that feeling still remains. Mama Nat's words about using my discernment plays in the back of my mind but when I try to use it, I end up confused. A part of me feels guilty for thinking this way especially when he has yet to do me wrong. I wish I could talk to Foreign about it but I know he's going to jump to his own conclusions. I'll get with Zanah and Mama Nat about the issue to get their advice. I just pray he doesn't have any ulterior motives and it's just me being in my head.
Today Foreign and I are taking Sire to the doctors for his 6 month check up. I can't believe he's already half a year old. He's gotten so big and he's such a calm and smart baby. I'm glad our problems haven't rubbed off on him or affected his development. We do our best not to bring our issues around him, especially when he shouldn't be exposed to it.
I pull up to the parking lot of the tattoo shop so Foreign and I could ride together to Sire's appointment. I get Sire out of the car to go in to meet Foreign and let everyone see the baby. As soon as I walk in everyone rushes up to us to see Sire.
"Is that baby Art?" Shanty says coming to hug us. I embrace her in a hug making sure that Sire isn't getting squished by us.
"Yes it is."
"This is a nice little treat. I've been wanting to see him for a while."
"Here he is, honey."
"There she go, looking like my future baby mama." Prince sings as he dances his way over to us. He always cracks me up whenever I see him.
"Hey bookie, how's everything been going?" I give him a kiss on the cheek making sure not to ruin his flawless makeup.
"Going good, making good money. But you know I have to keep an eye out for Ms. Thing here."
"Oh I already know you do." I respond knowing he's talking about messy ass Ace.
"I try to show her how a woman should behave but she keeps making me convert to my old ways."
"If you ever need backup let me know. I dropped this baby and I don't mind putting her in her place." I tell him only half serious about what I say. I'm not about to lose what I have for a thirsty bitch that's not even worth it.
"What's your schedule looking like this Friday?" He jokes earning a laugh from me and a giggle from Sire. "Oh he already knows what's up, that's what I'm talking about lil man."
Foreign comes out his room shortly after with Ace right behind him. I roll my eyes not wanting to deal with her or her fake ass. She always smiles in my face but is the first one to talk behind my back. Prince keeps me updated on all the shit she says. He constantly tells me that if I need his people to run up on her to let him know. If I was spiteful I'd give him the go ahead but she's not even worth their time.
"Hey baby, hi my big man." Foreign greets us with a kiss before he takes Sire from me.
"Hi my love."
"Look at the big man." Ace says approaching us to get a good look at Sire. I'm quick to take Sire back to block her from getting close to him as he starts to fuss.
"Damn Boon Coon, the baby don't even like you. You know they can sense nasty spirited people." Prince says calling Ace out.
"Shut up, you don't know what you're talking about." She turns her attention to me. "Hey Issaiah."
