|Issaiah Love|

It's been a month since I decided to hold off on the wedding. The elephant in the room is weighing heavy on us but we still remain to hold it. We've barely spoken to each other outside of making sure Sire is well taken care of. Since Foreign bought the house I decided to be the one  to leave the room. Part of my belongings are in the room with Sire as well as an uncomfortable twin bed that I barely fit in. While it's been difficult to adjust to, it's starting to become routine for me. Only time can tell how long this storm will last, but I'll go through it just to see how things work out with my biological father.

Our meet up went well though there's still an uncomfortable and uneasy feeling that comes when I see him. I wish I could decipher it. It very well could be nerves, I've never really liked meeting new people much. Having to learn someone as they learn you just made my introvert side come out more. It could also be my discernment like Mama Nat informed me about. Who knows, though Foreign bringing up the outing made me want it to just be nervousness. Lord reveal to me Major's true intentions and give me the strength to properly grieve and move on if they are not good.

My girls have been my saving grace going through another growing pain with Foreign. They've shown me nothing but love and support. Instead of judging they sit and listen, making sure to digest what I'm saying. They've given me nothing but sound advice that I may not have used yet but it's there whenever I need it. They are truly my village especially with the group baby here now.

Tonight, the girls were getting together at Zanah's house for a wine down and catch up. We're going to do our nails, make homemade face masks, pour a few glasses of wine, and enjoy each other's company. Life may pull us in different directions but through the busyness, we still find time to prioritize each other.

I walk into Zanah's house making sure to take my shoes off at the door. Remembering her instructions, I take my bag to the guest room before heading to the kitchen to greet her. Her back is to me giving me a chance to sneak up on her and hug her from behind.

"What's up Nah Nah with the good 'nanni." I deepen my voice pretending to be Chris. She jumps hearing my voice then bursts into laughter at the way I mimicked one of his various greetings to her.

"Girl, you scared me half to death. But that is funny how you sound just like him."

"I've been practicing." I joke as I open my arms to embrace her into a hug.

"Shut up, no you haven't." She laughs rocking us back and forth then kisses my cheek. "Hi sissypooh, how was the drive over here?"

"Niggas can't drive, like at all." I drop down in a chair at the counter, while my purse falls on the seat next to me.

"What happened?"

"Everyone's rushing to be first in the lane just to go no fucking where. The minute you try to go around now they can put the pedal to the metal. I need a driver."

"And a drink I see. Do you want a shot or wine?" I look at her through the slits in between my fingers as I nod my head taking her up on the offer.

"Both." Comes your barely audible but she understands me.

"Coming right up."

Zanah goes to her refrigerator pulling out a bottle of Stella Rosa Red Berry, my favorite and a bottle of Vodka. She walks over to her cabinets pulling out two red solo cups, then pours a cup for us. I playfully side eye wanting to be treated like a guest instead of a regular family member.
