A/N: Happy New Year! Thank you for your votes and comments! And most of all, thank you for reading!
Seraphina jogged down the hallway and came to a halt in front of the library. As per usual, she checked her outfit. She smiled, pleased, by her casual outfit. No skirt this time, and she was cozy in her tan sweater and white cargo pants that had matching tan patches on her knees.
I still took too long to get ready though. It's insane.
Her smile faded in self-disappointment, and she sighed before walking into the library. She spotted Neville with a bunch of Herbology books on his desk. She panicked, thinking they had Herbology homework, but she remembered Neville's peculiar fascination for the subject and relaxed.
He looked up and gave her his signature awkward smile. He waved with a duck of his head, and she gave him a warm smile and waved back. She left him to his hobby and went to search for Draco. She didn't see him anywhere, so she assumed he wasn't here yet. She placed her bag on a table and went to leaf through the books for something that would be useful for her potions homework.
"There you are, love."
Seraphina's eyes widened with alert, and she stayed rooted to the spot. Her limbs stiffened at the unwelcoming presence, and her jaw tightened with climbing tension.
"I missed you the whole day. I was hoping we'd have a cozy date at Hogsmeade."
Rolling her eyes, she turned to face the cocky git.
Felix smirked as he tilted his head at her. "You don't look happy to see me."
"Oh, good. You have eyes. Now it's time to find your common sense and get the hell away from me," Seraphina snapped.
Felix's smirk only deepened, and he pushed himself off the shelves as he uncrossed his arms. "It's rare to see you without your uniform. Your robe just covers everything. I like this view." It was unsettling the way his gaze moved up and down her body. Her ears heated up with irritation, and she glanced up to see a book floating towards its designated spot. Maybe she should grab it and slam it over his head. Just the idea satisfied her.
"You should slip into something more comfortable too," Seraphina said, making him grin with hope.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah, like a coma. It'd suit you perfectly."
His smile dropped at that, and proud snickering came from behind him.
Felix whipped around as Seraphina looked up.
Draco grinned as he rested an arm on one of the empty parts of the shelf. "I agree with her. So why don't you just do all of us a favor and smack your head on one of the walls over there, Fernsby?"
Felix narrowed his eyes and moved closer to Draco. "It was you, wasn't it?" He growled. "Back at Hogsmeade. You were the one who hexed me."
Draco smirked. "So? What are you going to do about it?"
Felix enclosed the space between them and hissed, "You better watch your back. No, more like your little girlfriend's back. Cause you never know when I'll get her."
At that, Draco's smirk fell, and he stood up straight with narrowed eyes.
Felix smirked. "You heard the rumors about me. But they're not rumors. They're all facts. And I'll make her the same way. I've never lost a target, and I don't plan on tarnishing my reputation now."
