"Seraphina! Seraphina, wake up!"

"Huh?" She sat up in bed with a jolt, but her eyes were still halfway shut.

Hermione sighed, "You're going to be late for class! Come on!"

"Oh. Right." Seraphina rubbed her eyes and slid off the bed. "OOF!" She landed as a heap on the floor.

The Patil twins giggled as they passed by.

"Oh my god. Why did you stay out so late last night? Come on!" Hermione pulled Seraphina up, and the sleepy Gryffindor shuffled towards the bathroom to wash up. In about 15 minutes, she was ready to go, and she buttoned up the rest of her shirt as she hurried for the door.

Hermione held out her tie, and Seraphina thanked her as she swiftly tied it around her neck. They managed to reach Charms in time, and they sat in their seats behind Harry and on.

Ron chortled, "Your hair looks like a bird's nest."

"Don't even start," Hermione warned.

Ron did a double take at her. "What are you doing here? Don't you usually appear later out of nowhere and give us heart attacks but refuse to answer any of our questions about why you're allowed to be tardy?"

He's got a point. I was too sleepy to realize she woke me up today. She's usually gone when I'm up. Seraphina looked at Hermione who mumbled, "Class was cancelled."

"No, it's not," Ron said. "Forget what I said," Hermione said with a wave of her hand.

Ron frowned in confusion but faced the front as Professor Flitwick entered.

Seraphina looked behind her and scanned the group of Slytherins in the corner. Pansy sneered at her, but Seraphina ignored her as she checked the desk where Draco usually sat. I guess he's staying at the infirmary today, too... She had studied with him until late last night, and she almost fell asleep, but Madame Pomfrey shooed her out of there before she could.

It feels... empty.

Her shoulders dipped heavily, and she sighed in disappointment. I

t was going to be a long day.

-----

It's going to be a long, RAINY day, Seraphina thought as she frowned unhappily at the pouring rain in front of her. She had Care of Magical Creatures next, and she wasn't looking forward to it at all. Despite her love for Hagrid, she knew he just had something dreadful that would fit this rainy day.

"This is going to be a disaster," Hermione sighed.

"You read my mind," Seraphina said.

The sky turned a shade darker as thunder tumbled in the distant sky.

"Hermione! Seraphina!"

They looked back to see Ginny. "Where are you going?"

"Care of Magical Creatures. You?"

"Potions," Ginny replied. "It's in the same direction."

"But you get to go indoors while Hermione and I..." Seraphina exchanged looks with her best friend.

"What are you complaining about? I'd choose Hagrid over Snape any day," Ginny laughed. Hermione and Seraphina joined in and nodded in agreement. "I can't argue against that. Let's go." The girls started to walk across the wet cobblestones.
