Miraculously, Seraphina got up just in time for class. She went into the bathroom to wash up and paused. She touched her smooth face and grinned.

Snape's potion had worked, and her bruises were gone.

In high spirits, she got ready for class. She knew she was going to have the perfect day.

Felix was gone and so were her bruises.

Seraphina almost reached Charms class but halted. She grimaced when she saw Pansy coming her way. Now if only she's gone... all my problems would be solved.

Seraphina was about to head into class when Pansy sneered, "Heard you whacked your head into a pole. It's too bad it didn't knock you dead."

Seraphina rolled her eyes, stepped back, and looked the girl dead in the eye. "Where's your mute button?"

"Haha. Real funny. You think you're such a smartass, don't you?" Pansy snapped with a glower. "But the truth is, you're nothing but a freak-" She stopped talking and stared at something behind Seraphina.

Seraphina felt someone tall tower behind her, and she lifted her head to see Draco. He was glaring at Pansy. "That's enough. It's too early to deal with your shit." She opened her mouth to refute, but he just put his hands on Seraphina's shoulders and steered her inside the classroom. He directed her to a seat beside him, and confusion crossed her face.

Ron and Harry looked back at her, and Ron's expression just scream "what the hell." He gave her an urgent, annoyed look and pointed to the empty seat between him and Harry. Seraphina shrugged as she was forced to sit beside Draco.

"I believe Felix is gone," she pointed out.

"So?"

"So... I don't have to stick around you 24/7."

"Nice to know you were using me." Draco rested his arms on the table and buried his face in it. He was exhausted from a lack of sleep.

Seraphina tilted her head. "What's wrong with you?"

"I couldn't sleep."

"Why not?"

"I-" He shut his mouth. He wasn't about to admit it was because he was busy thinking about her. His heart kept pumping a mile a minute, and he was too swept up by disastrously soft emotions to get some shut eye. "Someone kept snoring," he fibbed with a snort.

Seraphina caught sight of Pansy glaring murderously at her. "I should go before Pansy loses her brain cells wondering how she's going to get rid of me." She stood up, but Draco caught her wrist. He forced her to sit back down, and she gave him a curious look. "Pansy has to grow the fuck up and get used to us being together, so just stay. And tell fucking Weaslebee to quit glaring at me before I make him lose his vision." Draco held onto her wrist as he turned his face the other way.

She heard a soft snore and looked at him with a gaping mouth. "A-Are you asleep? Oh my god." She glanced at his firm grip on her and chuckled before shaking her head. "Can I at least take out my books?" He paused before releasing her wrist. But he made a point to pinch the end of her sleeve, making her chortle. She looked up to see Ron giving her a look and pointed to Draco's "grip" on her before shrugging, as if to say, "I'm trapped."

"Leave her alone," Harry said as he forced Ron to face forward.

Seraphina did a double take at Draco and noticed his tribulant hanging from his neck. She looked down at her own necklace and asked, "Are we still wearing these?"
