It had been about three days since the night of Luz and co.'s sleepover: everyone finally got to try the Boiling Isles rendition of a burger, then the kids stayed up all night playing with what Luz introduced being shadow puppets, leaving Willow, Gus, and Amity in complete amazement for an hour or so, and then topped the night off with telling stories about the human realm, and some things about the Isles as well back and forth. Luz knew that this was definitely a night to remember, going so far into the emotions scale that she cried tears of happiness as she fell asleep when she knew she was in the clear.

Everything seemed to be perfect for everyone in the Owl House; Luz finally felt as if things were finally getting back on the right track.

But how unfortunate it is that she had been wrong this entire time.

Aside from the highlights of Luz's first sleepover, everything else truly only went downhill, for the worst rather than the better. Now, we look as Luz, Amity, and even King, all hoard by the kitchen door while Eda and Lilith have a talk on the other side, doing their best to snoop even if it was the wrong thing and were gonna find out either way. It was really hard to hear the Clawthorne sisters talking through the door, but their curiosity ended as they felt and heard footsteps approaching the door rather quickly, causing them to retreat and to sit on the couch like they were about half an hour ago; as if they had never moved.

"Next time, be more sneaky about eavesdropping, got it? ...Well, don't actually, for that matter. It's a real bug of a move, understood?" Eda spoke, making her demand very clear to the two girls and demon king before her. "Not only is it rude, but it's also very low. I expected better from you two."

Eda's tone of voice not only caught the girls off guard but her sister as well. Lilith has never heard her sister be so stern onto someone else due to how carefree and laid back she was, but this was a pretty big issue and as of right now, it's been putting so much stress on Edalyn's shoulder's. Silent yet think tension filled the atmosphere of the room before Eda let out a long sigh, groaning as she pinched at the bridge of her nose.

"Sorry, kids, sorry... Look, I didn't mean to snap at you, it's just... Lily..." Eda whined, looking back at her sister to see if now would be a good time to tell them. Lilith has known that this conversation was guaranteed to happen sooner rather than later; it was inevitable, and so she caved in and agreed to have it discussed right now.

Letting out a long sigh, looking forward back to Luz and Amity once more, she started explaining the situation at hand.

"Lily here had taken a visit to the Emperor's Coven today to have a private word with Belos himself. Somehow and someway, he figured out that she was bunkering down here with us and mostly conversing with me rather than capturing me which is her job, as you two know." Lilith shot a glare to her sister as quick as she said that, Eda not knowing that problem in itself. "You two do know... right?"

"You're d-doing what? Miss Lilith, I-" Amity stammered, more confused than ever as to why her own mentor was chasing after her sister, and if anything, for Belos's sake. She tried piecing two and two together, that is, until Lilith spoke up herself.

"I'm so sorry, dear. I should have told you a while ago... Perhaps when we first started to stay here. Lilith inhaled sharply and gave a long exhale before continuing her side of her story. "My job now for years has been to reach Edalyn in one piece and to take her to the Emperor for what I believed was to heal her from her curse that she possesses: The Owl Beast. I have tried for years and years, but, those details are... are for another day." Lilith looked away in shame, Edalyn flinching as she reminisced back onto all the times her sister desperately did her best to bring her with her to the Coven, but Eda never budged, leaving Lilith in a frustrated slump of not only anger, but fear. "But after my talk with the Emperor today, it seems that my days of chasing Edalyn are... are over."
