"M-Mom...? Amity, dear, what do you-"

"Ahaha! I u-uh- I don't know what you m-mean! I don't recall saying m-mom at all...!" Amity sputtered, not wanting to relive the words she had just let out of her mouth. It hurt that she had to cover her fear of said feeling, and she truly saw Lilith as a mother figure but she knew she couldn't be so upfront about it. Her mouth went dry as she looked back to Lilith, everyone's eyes glued between the two feeling as if their looks were daggers digging into her side. She didn't dare move nor say anything and all she had wished for was her to just disappear.

"Amity, I'm sure you must... m-miss... your mother...? But I-I can reassure you that I'm not-" Lilith tried to say but was quickly cut off almost immediately.

"P-Please don't finish that sentence! I don't...! I-I don't miss my m-mother, actually..." Despite everyone knowing the situation at hand, it still kind of left everyone with surprise at what the young witch had said: a Blight not loving nor abiding to their parents rules, let alone it be the youngest of the bunch?

Yikes.

"Oh, Amity... I-I'm sorry... I had n-no idea and I was just going off what might seem like... simple logic." Lilith looked away from her student as she stood up, making Amity flinch slightly. "I am sorry for not thinking it out more thoroughly." Lilith had taken a moment before nudging herself out of the room, her young student reaching out to her.

"M-Miss Lilith, w-wait! I can explain-" Amity had slapped her hand over her mouth and stopped in the doorframe of the kitchen, keeping in mind that Lilith had not even turned around as she chased after her. Amity had stood in the doorway, now feeling more gloom than she already had just a bit ago.

"Amity, i-it's okay! I'm just sure you caught Lilith of guard is all." Luz stepped away from Eda, going over to comfort her friend as she was just sitting there alone, slightly shaking. "Even if I was Lilith, I'd probably get caught off guard as well so don't try and put so much on yourself, okay? It isn't as if you intended on hurting her, you know."

"I get that Luz, b-but there was clearly some sort of emotion in her face! I-I couldn't even read what it was and she just w-walked off... What if I messed up everything... M-My only chance at her apprenticeship...?!" Just as Luz had started to reassure the young witch, Eda had took initiative, walking passed Willow and Gus who still sat at the table in silence, only watching the scene unfold in front of them.

Kneeling down on her one knee, Eda put her hands on the young Blight's shoulders, making her have strong eye contact as she started speaking to the girl. "Alright, Blight. Listen to me closely, alright?" This question made Amity go stiff as she had never really talked so serious with Eda. She had no idea of knowing if she was supposed to feel more relieved, but more than anything she felt more nervous. "When it comes to my sister, despite being apart from her so long, I still know her best and I'll tell you know, you definitely did not hurt her. Don't sweat it. In fact," Eda looked behind her and to the sides of her, seeing if there was any trace that Lilith had been around. Once coast was clear, she turned back around facing Amity once again. "You didn't hear this from me, but, she does tend to think of herself as a mother figure to you. It's... It's sweet, to say the least. She cares deeply for ya kid, so don't go bursting the bubble thinking you did something wrong, cause you didn't. Got it?" Eda smiled as she patted Amity's head, standing back up again.

"C'mon Luz! These burgers won't cook themselves!" Eda walked herself back to the stove top, getting ready to cook what a burger was supposed to be as she was still clueless as to what it was.
