"You're shutting this down?!"

"Uh, yeah?"

"B-But... but why?!"

"Cause I... uh. King, help me out here."

"Because she says so?"

"Yeah! That! Because I say so."

Luz couldn't believe this, Eda was really shutting down the idea of her super awesome sleepover that she already invited her friends over for!

"That's not a fair reason, c'mon Eda!"

"Ah, no buts. Me and Lily have important things to tend to since we are trying to keep you guys and myself safe and all from the Blights, y'know. Oh, no offense."

"None taken.." Amity said with a stretch of an awkward grin on her face.

"Good. If we get this over with, they might just leave us alone, Lily can get her job back, and will get outta Amity's hair. Promise." Eda said with a smile as she walked out of the room.

While she was happy about the news, Luz let out a big sigh while Amity patted her back for comfort.

"I was so ready for a sleepover! We hadn't had one in forever... and we just got done planning what we'd do!" Luz let out another very exaggerated sigh as she face planted herself on the couch that was right next to her. She swore to herself that she could hear Eda giggling in just the next room over.

"Well, at least it's under good intentions...?" Amity said with empathy, trying to lighten up the tension Luz and possibly only Luz was feeling. Amity was dying for her parents to get out of her hair just for even a weekend. The thought of them being gone for a longer time that, possibly what seemed like a month felt like it could only be a dream. For right now, that's all it was, but she was determined to make it way longer.

"Yeah, well-!" Luz started to argue until she sat and thought. Luz, living a life with her friends without fear of Amity's parents almost constantly, as well as going back to school regularly. "Yeah, okay, maybe it ain't so bad after all." Luz said under her breath, but Amity had heard her and let out a small chuckle. Giving a kiss on the side of Luz's head, leaving her with a slight blush on her face, Amity had stood up to go use the restroom. "Just trust them, Luz. They got this under control. I know Eda will do her best, and I know personally that Lilith will do everything she can to make sure we're safe. Promise." And with that, she left the room with a smile.

"So, what time are you wanting us over?" Willow had asked over their scroll-call. Luz had forgotten to tell them details about today and it confused both of the witches cause it was already getting relatively late.

"At around 6:00-ish? Preferably before dinner." Luz said into the scroll, completely ignoring the look that Amity was giving to her.

"Luz." Amity whispered as not to be disrespectful while somebody else be on the phone.

"And it was okay with Eda, right?" Willow asked for extra reassurance. She had a feeling that Luz was telling a fib with all this, but she didn't dwell on it. She just wanted to have a good night with her friends.

"Luz." Amity said once more, a bit more sharper on her end. She wasn't surprised that Luz was going through with this, and she knew she shouldn't be so on edge especially since it was only Eda she'd be worried about. Guess she was paranoid as if it was the manor.

"Oh, absolutely! She said yes almost immediately!" Luz said with a large yet almost nervous smile, almost breaking her composure.

"Oh my god." Amity said out loud, giving up and sitting down on Luz's bed.
