"Romeo, this is a bad idea." Hiccup said, standing in the doorway to Jack's- Romeo's- room.
"Yes well, that's what you say to everything." Jack smirked at his reflection. "Also, if you really thought that this was such a bad idea, you wouldn't have gotten dressed already." He remarked, glancing at Hiccup's attire through his reflection in the mirror.
"It is because I think that it is such a terrible idea that I've decided to get dressed." Hiccup said. "Because if I can't talk you out of this-"
"And you can't, so don't even bother trying again." Jack interrupted.
Hiccup sighed in exasperation. "Since I can't talk you out of this folly, I might as well go with you and try to keep at least one of us out of trouble."
"You're too pessimistic, Benvolio." Jack said, turning around and looking at him. "We're only going to attend a ball, not wreak havoc in the town."
"You're right. We're only going to attend a ball. What's the worst that could happen?" Hiccup said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "It's just a ball. A ball being held at the Capulet mansion. The mansion owned by the CAPULET family. A family that hates all of us and would happily see us all murdered. But never mind, we're just going to attend a ball, nothing is going to happen."
"That's the spirit!" Jack grinned, patting his shoulder. "Now let's go!"
"All this just to see a girl." Hiccup groaned.
"Not just any other girl, Benny, my boy." Eugene said, clapping his hand down on Hic's other shoulder. "The only girl so far in all of Verona who has no reaction whatsoever to Jack's advances."
"Probably because she's not interested in him." Hiccup muttered.
"Rosalind!!" Jack hollered, ignoring what he had just said. "Onwards! To the Capulet mansion!!"

"What are the boys even doing....?" Merida groaned, slinking down further into her seat, covering her face with her book. "That's not in the actual script!"
Rapunzel giggled next to her, looking up from her copy of the script. "Well, the story is almost the same..." She smiled.
Elsa smirked in the seat next to her, tossing the script aside. "Well, it looks like I'm up." She said, getting up.
"I think this version is way more interesting!" Anna laughed.
Merida groaned. "I'm so glad that this is just a rehearsal." She muttered. "And thank god the drama teacher isn't here..."
"Cmon, Meri." Rapunzel said. "Take that book off your face and enjoy it. The next scene is starting."
~~~
"Oh, Rosalind, sweet sweet Rosalind!" Jack sang in a horribly off key voice. "Won't you accept my feelings for you-"
"No." Elsa said curtly.
Anna just about fell out of her seat laughing at Jack's shocked expression as he fake gasped in horror.
Merida sniggered. "I wouldn't either, he sucks at singing."
"Oh, sweet Rosalind! Your thorny words hurt me so!" He said. "Like a rose, you smell-" Anna's laughter echoed through the hall, and Elsa struggled to hold in her laughter.
"Give it up, Romeo. I'm not interested." And with a fabulous hairflip, Elsa strutted off the stage, leaving Jack clutching his chest, an exaggerated expression of pain on his face.
"I told you this was a bad idea." Hiccup muttered.
"Oh, my heart. How she has hurt me with her thorny words- did I use that already?" He looked up. "Never mind." He looked back down again. "Oh how she hurts me. I shall never love again."
"And...cue Juliet." Hiccup muttered.
Jack's head snapped up, and his eyes met Rapunzel's. "Oh, I've been cured! I'm in love again!" He declared, getting back up. "And never before have I seen true beauty..." He said, taking Rapunzel's hands, looking into her eyes. "Not until tonight, when I first laid eyes on you, fair Juliet." He smiled. "So, would you give me the pleasure of a dance with you?"
Rapunzel smiled. "Of course, my dear Romeo."
