"There's barely enough time to love in a lifetime, please don't give it all away to pain," his words were gentle, yet slightly pleading as his hand trailed down my cheek.
"But what if the pain has already consumed me?"

JUNGKOOK
I walked into Platinum behind the other members. It was our annual New Year's party and where better to celebrate than the place we knew we could easily pick up girls.
As we sauntered through the sea of sweat-soaked people, rubbing their bodies up and down each other, I couldn't help but feel disgusted by the desperate women and their inherent need for a man's touch to feel apparent in this world. Being here reminded me of everything I hate in a woman.
This wouldn't have been my first choice of clubs but Namjoon hyung always had the deciding vote and, shocker, we would always end up here.
I waited impatiently as Tae leisurely slid into the booth, exuding his usual bored teenager vibe. Just as I moved to sit next to him, Jin hyung's characteristic whining pierced the air, stopping me in my tracks.
I would never get used to his choice of pitch.
"Sit next to me Jungkook-ah!" He begged, smacking me repeatedly on the back. "Hyung hasn't seen you in so long!"
Wasting no time, I swiftly turned around and smacked him back like a delinquent child hitting a Whac-A-Mole machine at the arcade. We both narrowed our eyes at each other, wondering who would crack first. It was him, of course; barely five seconds in, he erupted into his signature windshield wiper laugh.
"Ah, I'm going toilet first, save me a seat then," I caved.
Don't misread my attitude—I was happy to be out with my hyungs since I hadn't seen them in weeks. It was just that places like this reminded me of the past, and thinking about that was exhausting now. Initially, I planned to show my face, have a couple of drinks, and then leave. But my whole outlook changed the moment I stepped out from behind the booth.
Because that was the first time I saw her... the most inexplicably gorgeous human being that I've ever laid eyes on.
I usually wouldn't bother with waitresses, often put off by their overconfidence or thirstiness, but this one was different—too stunning to ignore. She walked with a light yet purposeful stride toward our booth, her delicate fingers gripping a small notepad as she reached for the pen tucked behind her ear.
"Get a grip, JK," I muttered to myself, trying to shake off the fact that I was practically drooling over her.
I continued to the bathroom, trying hard not to turn and stare as I pushed open the double doors. I knew getting involved with another pretty girl could jeopardize everything I'd worked for. But then again, just one taste wouldn't hurt, right? After all, we were here to meet girls, and she seemed like the perfect one to break my rule for.
I smirked, the kinda smirk that told me I was going to play this just right.
In a matter of seconds, I had it all planned out. If I played it smart, which I was confident I could, and timed it just right, I could 'accidentally' bump into her on the way out. After all, girls love a good meet-cute.
