JUNGKOOK
"You've got to be kidding me!" Jimin snapped, his fingers curling into claws out of fury. "You let him bring her here when those lunatics were coming? You fucking idiot!"
"Can you shutup for a second! It's not like I tell them when to come!" They wouldn't understand, they didn't have the same pressures as me. I'm the person they come to collect from.
"You have to tell them to come back later!" Tae hissed, panicking.
My heart was racing to the extent where I felt like I was going to have a panic attack. This is why I always spent the whole of Thursday at home away from Nova because I never knew when they'd show up. My worst nightmare was about to unfold in front of my eyes. The last thing I wanted to do was introduce her to my world.
"Yeah Tae, that's a brilliant idea! Tell the fucking ruthless criminals to come back later, I bet that will go down well," I smacked my head, sarcastically.
Aggressively whispering in my direction, Jimin piped up again, "you can't let them in when she's in the room twenty feet away!"
"Everybody fucking shutup!" I hushed in between my gritted teeth. "Act natural, I'm answering it before they knock down the door and wake her up."
I made my way to the door, taking in a deep breath before looking through the peephole. I hoped to God it wasn't them.
"I know you're home Jeon, you know I don't like to be kept waiting!" He called through the door, his choice of tone sending chills through my body. Without breathing out, I opened the door, straightening out my back to appear taller and broader. I needed to play it right otherwise things were going to go south quickly.
"Good evening gentlemen," I greeted confidently. I had a reputation to uphold and if I let my problems with Nova get in the way of this, it could ruin the empire Namjoon had built.
"Oh how I just love waiting!" Kano over dramatically sighed.
Standing in front of me was a man feared by many. He was smiling as always, showing off his perfect teeth, covered with pure gold grillz. His long jet-black hair was slicked back off his face and more tattoos had been added to his body since the last time I saw him; to a point where there was no original skin showing.
"Come in," I waved, dismissing his previous comment. The only reason I've been so successful in this business is because of the chip on my shoulder.
"Ah Park, Kim! Good to see you, boys!" Kano greeted them cheerily like they were old friends. Jimin and Tae were in charge of shipments whereas I was involved in... clientele.
Kano was my highest paying customer. He would buy off of us and then deal, giving us an extra twenty-five percent of what he earned each year. If we lost him, our profits would decrease rapidly, that's why I had to be on my best behaviour. He could smell vulnerability. Usually, it would be just his men coming to collect so I was perplexed by his appearance.
