NOVA
Taehyung held his arm out for me to hold. I was used to wearing heels, I had to wear them every day for work, but today was different. The amount of adrenalin flowing through my body had me shuddering. Taehyung noticed, putting it down to me being cold, and so sweetly rushed to the car door to open it so I could slide in quickly. I really couldn't fault him.
I thought back to the day I met him and how moody he was and how he refused to acknowledge I was even in front of him. He was so intimidating and on top of that, there were the threats that had me fleeing Jimin's apartment in a matter of seconds. Surely that wasn't the Taehyung I knew now.
"So what am I supposed to expect from this gathering?" I plucked up the courage to ask.
"Well, there will be a sit-down dinner at eight, but before that there'll be some mingling, drinks and canapés," he answered so casually like it was a normal affair for him.
"Taehyung," I whispered, making him turn his head curiously, "why was I even invited to this thing?"
"Truthfully, I don't know Nova. Joon hyung told me to invite you and nothing more."
I found it curious how Namjoon had suddenly taken an interest in me. I didn't know much about the CEO, but I knew he was so intimidating – much more than the rest. Most likely I'd be walking into a room full of businessmen and important people that I have nothing in common with, but a part of me smelt something fishy.
I sighed, realising there was no going back now and rested my head back against the seat. I needed some time to myself before walking into the dragon's den.

"We're here, Sir," the driver called, looking at us through his rear-view mirror.
We stopped outside a building that I'd passed regularly when exploring Seoul. It was an all glass, slightly slanted skyscraper - whoever was lucky enough to be on the top floor, had an amazing view of the city.
Walking around to my side of the car, Tae opened the door for me with his hand out. "Time to knock em' dead, Tiger, we'll be the hottest couple in there!" Taehyung boasted, taking hold of my hand. I let out a small giggle as I was forced to run to keep up with his pace.
As we walked through the revolving doors, I was amazed by just how big the reception area was. It was ginormous and twice the size of the one in Jimin's apartment complex. The whole place had a marble design with contemporary flourishes, transparent elevators and the classiest looking receptionists. In only one week I had set foot into two of the most expensive buildings I had ever seen in my life.
