NARI FELT a hand promptly shaking her shoulder awake. She hadn't noticed, but apparently she had accidentally fallen asleep on the shoulder of Jungkook. She guessed all that action and fighting from the tavern and Yoongi really tired her out. She was surprised Jungkook was and is still holding on.
"Wake up, the bus is here." Jungkook tells her in a soft tone. She fluttered her eyes open to see the bus just down the road as it drove up to the pair. She breathes in the air, stretching her limbs as she began to sit up in her seat.
Jungkook then stands up, reaching for the wallet in his jacket pocket before Nari follows in suit. The bus pulled up, stopping directly in front of them as a loud screeching noise echoed in the area. It made the pair's ears winced.
The door to the bus opens, revealing a man. He was in his mid-forties and he wore a baseball cap. "Hi, travelers. Where you off too?" The man cheerfully says. Nari took notice that there was no one else on the bus, this area not being populated at all.
Jungkook eagerly steps onto the steps of the bus as Nari instinctively waited outside of it. He pulls a picture from his wallet, abruptly shoving the small photo in the mans face. "Have you seen this man?" It was a recent picture of the two boys together. Nari's heart warmed at the fact that Jungkook kept a picture of the two in his wallet. Seokjin clearly meant a lot to him.
The man eyes the picture intently before bringing his gaze back up to Jungkook. Jungkook had a stern look of impatience laced in his eyes. His eyebrows furrowed and his lips pressed in a line, he hoped this bus driver would give him the answers he wanted.
But to his dismay, the bus driver simply shrugged as he sighed. He leaned back in his chair, rubbing his fingers through his chin. "I don't think I have, sir. I'm sorry to break it to you." He says, bouncing his leg in a fast pace. "I'd be happy to take you somewhere else though."
As Jungkook's shoulders dropped, feeling a slight nerve of defeat, Nari eyed the bus driver from afar. She noticed his leg bouncing, the same way Jungkook's did an hour ago as it represented an obvious sign of anxiety, she noticed the beads of sweat dripping from his sideburns despite the air being of comfortably, windy weather, and she noticed his inability to make eye contact with either of the two.
Something was off with the man and Nari knew.
She steps onto the bus steps, swiftly pushing past Jungkook. For a moment, he loses his balance before he grabs one of the bus seats as he eyed the girl weirdly. "You're lying." Is all she says, calmness lacing her voice. "Where'd he get off."
The man trembled under the harsh gaze of Nari. Despite her being a small girl, the man was oddly intimidated by her. "I... I'm not allowed to tell you." He mutters, making Jungkook's eyes widen at the fact that the bus driver did in fact see Seokjin.
