JUNGKOOK holds the non-trackable cell phone in his hand, showing it to Nari as he drove down the land's coast like he once did yesterday during their car chase. "This is how we can communicate with Namjoon. He'll send us updates on the vehicle and wherever this Min Yoongi is." Jungkook explains. Nari grabs the phone from his hand as she sits in the passenger seat of his car.
During Namjoon's briefing on Yoongi, it was revealed that apparently Yoongi had lived in Aloral a long time ago. His father owned a popular store in the town and when his father passed, the store was passed down onto Yoongi. Eventually, he found that being a store owner clearly wasn't for him as he soon went bankrupt, wounding up broke. Since then, he's quit living up to his deceased father, left Aloral, and basically went off the grid.
Of course, there was no information on how he and Seokjin were acquainted (if they even were). There is just some things in life that can't be put in ones record. That clearly includes this.
Nari looked at the message Namjoon had already sent them through the phone: the last known location of the vehicle. It was in a town awfully far from Aloral, almost five hours away. "Five hours?! Why would Seokjin go there?" She breathed.
Jungkook simply shrugged as a tired sigh escaped his lips. "Looks like we're in for a road trip."
Nari couldn't help but let her head fall back onto the seat, sighing. Why did Seokjin one moment say he wanted to go back to his kingdom only to travel the opposite direction the next? This wasn't adding up to her and she was starting to get frustrated.
Before leaving the castle, Nari and Jungkook had packed necessities and changed out of their masquerade outfits. She had no clue how long this was going to take.
The only plus side to their time was, her deadline was the coronation. No coronation could commence until she found the prince, safe. So technically, she had all the time in the world as long as Seokjin was alive. Oh, she hoped he was alive.
As time continued to pass, Nari felt her eyes drift into a certain heaviness. It had been an extremely long day and she couldn't help but be fairly tired by now. She woke up in the arms on her partner, freaked out, woke up to Seokjin being nowhere to be found, freaked out again, held a lady at gunpoint just to look at security footage, attended a meeting, met a new acquaintance, and now she were going on a five hour road trip to go track a man of the name Min Yoongi in hopes of finding the prince she's supposed to kill before he can officially become king.
Yeah, she just needed to sleep right now.
Jungkook sees her drifting into a slumber and allows her to sleep. He sneaks a glance at her restful aura and can't help but think she'd never hurt a fly, looking like this. She looks so peaceful, he thought.
In the past, Jungkook had so much experiences with other protectors; experiences he didn't like. However, with Nari, he had no choice but to place his full trust in her. How could he not with everything she's proven to him?
