SEOKJIN beamed with happiness at the mention of his upcoming birthday extravaganza. It was going to be 'a night to remember', as Seokjin said. Nari couldn't help but think it was so cute how much he was so thrilled about this. Like a little kid, excitedly anticipating his turn on the newest, coolest rollercoaster in the fair.

The entirety of the castle staff helped with the parties preparations. The preparations itself would take two to three days at maximum if everyone all worked from morning to night.

It slightly bothered Nari because despite being a protector of the prince, that didn't mean her and Jungkook were excused from helping too. Considering their status to being 'strong', they withheld the duty of heavy lifting from one area to another along with the other guards. It was exhausting.

The entire castle was basically on lockdown. With little to no guards on duty, the large and trustworthy castle doors assured that no one got in or out of the castle borders, without heavy security check-ins, until the day of the masquerade ball.

Nari and the other guards carried boxes onto a cart, one by one before someone would bring it upstairs from the basement storage room to the castles ballroom.

It was only eleven in the morning and time felt like it was going so slow despite them only starting to do this at nine. Nari's eyes traveled to Jungkook as she wiped beads of sweat from her sideburns with the back of her hand. He continued to load boxes onto the carts, sweat escaping his forehead.

She couldn't help her gaze from trailing down his body, landing specifically at the evident sweat-covered abs from underneath his white shirt. For a moment, Nari could've sworn her breath hitched at the sight, shamelessly mesmerized by it. Wow... he's so...

"Sexy, isn't he?" A poised voice said from beside her. Nari flinched at the sudden interaction. It was a girl, a bit shorter than her. She was sweating too, lifting boxes with them and a bunch of other people. Nari assumed she was a guard—not of Seokjin, but of the castle in general, considering her partaking in this lifting stuff.

"Uhh..." Nari averted her gaze for a moment, unsure of what to say. It was awkward, she couldn't lie. Barely anyone has ever talked to her during the time she'd been here, other than the royal family and jungkook.

Clearly, she lacked human interaction. "I guess." She muttered. Jungkook was attractive, yes, but she could never imagine herself with him. Ew. No. Never in a million years. He was impossible to deal with, his temper was way too short, he hated her guts, and he was a pain in the ass.

Besides, it's not like Nari will get to stick around after she finishes her job anyway. It was just better to not get attached.

The girl chuckled at Nari's answer before sighing. "I don't know how you do it—resist the urge everyday. He's just so... perfect." She doesn't miss the opportunity to let her thoughts about Jungkook spill out. Clearly, Nari wasn't interested in all this lovey talk about her partner but it's not like she was going to put up a fight either, for it just wasn't worth it.
