THE GROUP all file into Hoseok's house once more as he held the door open for them. Jungkook immediately plops himself onto the couch despite being wet, a tired sigh escaping his lips as his shoulder was neatly bandaged from the work of Hoseok. Yoongi brings the laptop to the table, Namjoon following as Yoongi brings up the pictures that Nari had taken of the book.
Nari stands there, watching as Namjoon's eyes peered onto the screen. Immediately, she grabs his arm, pulling him away. Namjoon looks over at her, an eyebrow raised in confusion. "Wait." She says with pleading eyes.
Hoseok closes the front door behind Jia as she walks in before sitting herself on the couch as well.
"What?" Namjoon muttered, looking over at Nari before looking at Yoongi. Yoongi doesn't say anything as he watches Nari nervously bite her lip.
Nari let's go of Namjoon's arm, her hand falling to her side. She then turns to look at everyone in the room, her body literally trembling from her next words. "Before you guys read this... I just... I want you guys to know that there's some pretty fucked up shit on there.... you know, about me." She muttered, her head hanging low.
Jungkook watched her with curious yet scared eyes as she sits herself down on the arm of the couch, fiddling with her fingers. "I... I don't want you guys finding out through the book, I want to tell you." She says, looking up at everyone. "All of you."
Nari takes a deep breath in. All eyes were on her and she felt nervous as she shook in her seat. "When I only a baby, The Ambassador had taken me. He told me I was abandoned and he raised me as his own. I considered him my father and he considered me his daughter."
"Uh..." She let out a shaky breath. "Growing up, I.... He... did things to me... Things I didn't know were wrong at the time..." She shut her eyes, cringing at the memory. She shakes her head, not wanting to go super into detail as she told her story. "The way he touched me, the way he said things.... Everything is in that book.." She breathed.
"I didn't know it was wrong until a few women at the Embassy pulled me aside after noticing. Only then, did their words get to me." She muttered. "But after that, The Ambassador had found out and I never saw them again."
"On my thirteenth birthday, he told me I had finally become a woman." She says with a shaky breath. "He...." Nari rubs her hands together. "Crossed the line that day...." She muttered, ashamed.
"I cried for hours that night, wanting to wipe all of the memories into the back of my mind. I stored everything there, choosing to just forget about it rather than dwell on it." A disappointed sigh escapes her lips. "After that, he never did it again and I... never told anyone."
"Even then, he still said things that would make me uncomfortable. One of them being a simple 'I love you.'" Nari explains. "The more he said it, the more I just didn't believe in love anymore. There was just no way love could come in that form." She shakes her head.
