NARI'S FEET briskly rush back to the ballroom as quickly as they could. Because she knew the King's life was in danger, she couldn't help but be concerned for Jungkook and Seokjin's well-being also. The Ambassador was unpredictable. She had no idea what he was truly planning and if there was more to his already exposed plan.
The Ambassador was going to kill the King. How could Nari kill Seokjin while this was going to happen?
She entered the ballroom again, glancing around frantically. The guests give her weird looks, noticing her sweaty figure from running down the castle halls. She catches a glimpse of the royal family eating food at their designated platforms, thankful they were safe and alive right now.
Despite there being obvious awkward tension between her and Jungkook, he was still her partner right now and she needed to find him fast. He was the only one who can truly help her.
After searching for awhile, glancing around the ballroom dance floor as well as awkwardly invading the spaces of people peacefully conversing, Nari spots the lone boy sitting at one of the many benches at the edge of the ballroom.
His front faces the tall window, the golden sun hitting his obvious glum expression as he stared at the drink in his hand, swirling it around aimlessly.
Jungkook was so obviously going through it as his mind was clouded with feelings of confusion. The sight tugged something in Nari's heart. Nari quickly made the decision to ignore the apparent feelings of angst arising in her chest as she swiftly approached him. "Jungkook." She breathed, rushing to stand in front of him.
Abruptly, he looks up at the frantic, sweaty girl. He sets his drink down on the bench and swiftly stands up, eyes wide and full of distress. "Nari." He murmured, stepping closer to the girl.
Without hesitation, Nari grabs his wrist. "We have to go." She asserted, gently tugging at the material of his outfit.
"Wait." He stops her, forcing her to abruptly stop in her tracks. She turns around to face him, confused. "I..." For awhile now, Jungkook had been thoroughly practicing what he was going to say to her once they saw each other again. It was sooner than he expected to be quite honest. No matter how much he wanted his words to spill, for some reason, nothing could escaped his lips as he tried to explain everything. Anything.
Nari sighed, worry lacing her eyes. "Jungkook, I'm sorry but we don't have time for this." She tried to tell him, urging him to come with her as she tried pulling him.
But him being irritably stubborn, he dare doesn't budge. "No, wait. It'll only take a minute." He breathes, preparing himself for his speech. Nari couldn't help but find this gesture, as he nervously and mentally prepared for what he wanted to say, quite adorable.
Unfortunately for him, there was simply no time. The King's life was on the line. He's about to speak when she suddenly covers his mouth with her palm, making his eyes go wide. He couldn't help but flush a light pink at the contact of her hand over his mouth, shutting him up. "I'm serious! This can wait another time." She said sternly.
