As the best assassin in the Embassy yearning for another job to do, Lee Nari's newest mission caught her off guard: kill Kim Seokjin.
Killing a wealthy prince of a well known kingdom seemed pretty easy to Lee Nari. But with the prince's protector, J...

AN UNEASY feeling washed over Nari as she stared at the alert she had just gotten on her phone. She breathed in through her nose, annoyed with the sudden call. It was a text message from an unknown caller. It said no message, just a symbol. A square with a circle in the center of it.
This wasn't the Embassy logo, they would know better than to send her that. But as she looked at it as she stand in the center of her room, her dress for the night hugging her torso tight, she knew just exactly who sent this message and what they wanted from her.
The dorm room door opens from behind Nari and in an instant, she turns around. Jungkook walks in, his masquerade mask already on his face while Nari held her mask in her hand.
His eyes meet hers and for a second, Jungkook swears his heart skips a beat at the sight of her in her dress. It was a fully black dress, a layer of silk under the layer of sheer flowed down her legs. A dangerous slit at the skirt of the dress could slightly showcase her leg and her arms were covered in the fabric of the dress as her collarbone nicely made an appearance.
"Wow." He breathed, staring at her figure up and down. His eyes might have even lingered at the bare skin of her leg for a second longer. The sudden look he gave made Nari nervous under his gaze. "You actually look like a girl now." And... it was back. The same old insults she'd been receiving from him since day one.
Despite his obvious insult toward her, something clicked and shifted in Jungkook in that moment he saw her. He doesn't know what it was, for it was simply unexplainable. All he knew, is the tensioned feeling was strong. Too strong, perhaps it scared him.
Nari truly had no energy to put together a comeback. She'd never been nervous for an assassination but in a way, she was going to kill her friend. It just didn't feel right. It made her sick. It made her feel like she was suddenly going soft and she hated that feeling with a passion. It just didn't feel like her.
When jungkook noticed her vacant expression, he immediately, for some odd reason, felt a tinge of worry. "You okay?" He questioned, cautiously stepping closer to the girl. Nari couldn't believe Jungkook was actually showing signs of concern. He couldn't believe it either. It definitely didn't help with this whole attachment thing.
But Nari was human too and like all humans, they get attached. She got attached. Despite years and years of training on how not to dwell on the past, Nari couldn't help but feel extremely guilty. She hated it.
She simply nodded, looking up at him. For the first time since she'd met him, there was no smug look, no devilish smirk, and no cocky expression. Just pure, pure, softness in his face.
Jungkook knew she was lying, he could see it in the way her eyes carried a sense of tiredness. But still, he refused to pry into her feelings, especially if she didn't want to share. The least he could do was respect that considering his recent behavior of being completely distasteful to the girl.
