"Dad." A whisper brings Jungkook back to reality as his eyes slowly peer open from his slumber. He inhaled a deep breath, instinctively stretching his limps as he furrowed his eyebrows.

At the base of the couch, Jungkook spots his beautiful four year old daughter. Her hair was messy and she held her small, pink blanket close. Immediately, Jungkook smiles a tired smile, grabbing the girl and bringing her in to cuddle against him and Nari, who was peacefully sleeping beside Jungkook with her head on his shoulder.

"Yes, my love?" He whispers back, hoping he won't wake the sleeping girl beside them.

His daughter snuggles her body closer to Jungkook as he instinctively goes to hold her closer. "I'm tired." She complains, a small and cute pout forming on her lips. "Can you come put me to bed?"

Jungkook immediately grinned, nodding his head. "Sure, let's go." He happily says, moving just the slightest bit so he wouldn't wake Nari. He carries his little girl in his arms as he stands from the couch, immediately glancing back to see if Nari was okay and sleeping.

When he sees that she is, he takes the girl and brings her up to her room. He warmly smiles to himself when she leans her head on his shoulder, holding him tight as her blanket dangled from her tiny hands.

After venturing up the stairs, he approaches her bedroom door, twisting the doorknob and kicking the door open with his foot. With the hallway light illuminating the dark room, he sets her on the bed before switching the lamp on the bedside table on.

He watched as she excitedly climbed under the blanket as he sat at the edge of the bed. "Help me sleep." She pleaded, her puppy dog eyes making an appearance.

Jungkook sighs. Not the kind of sigh in which he wouldn't want to do such a thing. However, it was a kind of sigh in which he was so content in this very moment.

He couldn't say no. Not with those eyes, he couldn't. "You want me to tell you a story?" He asked her in a quiet tone, raising his eyebrow.

She immediately shakes her head. "You're bad at storytelling." She huffed, hugging her small blanket tighter in her arms.

He scoffs, furrowing his eyebrows playfully at the girl. "I am not!" He exclaimed. "Take that back, Ara."

Ara giggled, shaking her head as she kicked her small legs. "No! Mommy is better than you." She teased, a big grin on her face.

Jungkook looked at her so lovingly as he let out a defeated sigh. "Okay, fine. What should I do then?"

Nari peers her eyes open, the small source of light from the lamp at the corner of the room coming in her vision. She yawned, stretching her arms before noticing Jungkook was no longer beside her.

She remembered how she had accidentally fallen asleep as they were all watching a movie together. Perhaps he took Ara upstairs and to bed already.

Nari huffed, standing up from the couch to go and check if her thoughts were true. Immediately after doing so, she stretches again, letting out a small groan in the process.

Nari rubs her eyes, walking toward the staircase but freezes in her place when she hears something familiar.

She hadn't heard it in so long, she thought she was dreaming. Nari instinctively rubs her eyes once more in attempts to wake herself up. But when she realized she wasn't dreaming, she continues on her way.

Her heart was beating quick all while feeling a sense of complete warmth. She couldn't believe it, was he really doing this?

When she reaches the top of the stares, she's stealthy as she goes to slowly stand in the doorway of her daughters room. There, she see's Jungkook sitting at the edge of the bed, his eyes glued to a sleepy Ara as her eyes fluttered shut.

She smiled at the sight, only it wasn't the very thing that made her heart warm, no. Her heart skipped a beat because he was singing to her.

His voice, in which Nari longed to hear for so long, was finally making an appearance right in front of her. She smiled to herself, her eyes filled with such love as she stared at her husband and her daughter.

It was so clear, so soft as the singing left his lips. It wasn't too loud or too quiet, just the perfect amount of volume for the sleeping girl.

Nari could've cried at the sight. For a long time, he had always refused to sing to her, for he was always too embarrassed. But upon singing to Ara for the first time, their daughter couldn't help but love his voice as she quickly fell asleep to the sound of it.

When Jungkook notices his daughter already fast asleep to the sound of his soothing voice, he suddenly stops singing. Nari wanted to hear more, however she knew she wouldn't. So long someone was around, Jungkook never sang. But Nari guesses their daughter was an exception.

It only proved how much he loved her. She could tell in the way he stared at her so lovingly as she slept, or how he had sung her a song to sleep despite his hatred for singing in front of people.

Nari couldn't help herself as she slowly began to get emotional. The view in which she was seeing in this moment made her so undeniably happy. Here she was, content with her life, as she watched the love of her life sing their daughter to sleep.

Nari steps into the room, making a sound as Jungkook jumps in his place. He gasped, whipping his head toward the girl's warm smile. "Hey." She simply says, approaching the boy.

Jungkook quickly stands to his feet, a wide eyed look on his face as he stared a the girl, surprised. "Please tell me you didn't hear that." He muttered, embarrassed.

The girl intentionally ignores him, immediately embracing him in a loving hug as her arms go around his neck. Jungkook is rendered a bit surprised by the sudden hug as he slides his arms around her waist.

"I love you." She whispers in his ear before sweetly laying her head on his shoulder. "So much." She contently sighed as she softly shuts her eyes.

Jungkook's heart skips a beat, he swears it did every single time she said those words. He blushed a light pink as his hand runs up and down her back softly. "I love you, too." He tells her in a quiet tone.

When he pulls from the hug, wanting to look at the girl, he immediately tenses up upon seeing her expression. "Wha—What happened?" He panicked, his hands immediately going to the side of her face.

Nari's eyes were glossy with tears as she stared up at the boy. She simply chuckled, holding his hands at the side of her face before bringing them down, never once letting his hands go. "Nothing. I'm just so happy." She tells him honestly, a grin on her face.

Jungkook's expression softens upon hearing that. He smiles to himself before leaning in and placing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "I'm happy too." He admits.

Nari goes to hug him again, never once wanting to let him go as she did. Jungkook's hand goes to the back of her head, brushing at her hair as he held her close. "Please sing more often." She suddenly mutters against his chest, shutting her eyes. "I really do love your voice." She tells him.

The boys cheeks turn a certain crimson at the fact that she had indeed heard him and the idea that she wanted to hear more. Of course, Jungkook hesitated. It was too embarrassing to sing in front of people, even Nari.

But still, as he held her in his arms, their daughter sleeping just a couple feet away from them, he sighed contently against her as he shut his eyes. "Okay." He whispers to her, giving in to her request.

How could he deny such a request? Nari did so much for him, making him so happy constantly. The least he could do was this. Even then, he couldn't just ignore the amount of happiness his singing gave Nari. So much, it made her cry. He wanted to see her happy like that all the time.

He'd do anything for her. Even if it meant this.
