NARI FLUTTERS her eyes open upon smelling something in which she had never smelled before. Her eyes squint, unable to handle the bright light of the afternoon sun. Using her arm, she raises it to shield her face only to find that her wrists were wearing dainty, fancy jewelry.
Her eyes widen in surprise, bringing her hand back down to examine the jewels. Upon doing so, she noticed she was no longer in her outfit, but in the dress she had worn the day of the masquerade ball.
Her bare feet stood on a soft, vibrant, green grass. She calmly runs the bottom of her feet against it, treasuring the feeling of the delicate grass. The girl then brings her gaze up. Miles and miles the grass traveled, wildflowers scattered around. Not a single soul, nor a single building in sight.
Where was she? What was happening?
The smell. It was the wildflowers. She'd never been in such an environment.
Nari bends down to pick one of them up. As the stem grazes her fingertips, she's about to pull it out from in the dirt. It was pretty, it grabbed her attention well. A stunning pink danced on the petals. The color reminded her of him, of his lips.
"Let the flower live, Nari." She suddenly hears from behind her. With her paused fingers on the flower, she turns around to the owner of the voice standing there, hovering above her hunched body.
"It's you." She leaves the pretty wildflower alone, quickly standing up to meet the person's level. The longer she stared at him, the more she felt the feeling of peace embrace her.
"It's me." He echos, grinning. His eyes squinted in happiness and his grin stretched contently. The sight made Nari's heart warm. She loved his smile. She loved it so much.
Nari was quick to wrap her arms around his body, the same body that wore the outfit he did the night of the masquerade ball. She buries her head deep into his chest, engulfing in his scent.
Jungkook was quick to hug her back, holding the back of her head as his heart warmed. His other hand snaked behind her waist, holding her closer. "What's happening?" The girl muttered in the material of his dress jacket.
"What do you mean?" Jungkook replied, soothing her hair down her back. "We're in love, that's what's happening." She felt his evident chuckle against her chest.
The sudden words surprise her as she retracts her head from his chest. She stared at his face, wide eyed. "In love?" She repeated, questioning what he had just said.
His grin never left his face as he nodded. He brings his hand away from the back of her head to gently sooth her cheek. He runs his thumb over the surface of her skin, looking at her so lovingly. The feeling made Nari blush.
Nari stared at his eyes, getting completely lost in them. "Yes, in love." He says, leaning in closer to her face. "I love you, Nari." Jungkook's lips hovered over Nari's. She could feel his hot breath, it felt so prominent; so real. His soft lips graze the surface of hers as she doesn't wait another second to flutter her eyes closed.
