friday, 7:47pm

"do i really have to go?" felix asked, as his mother held a suit in front of him.

"yes, we're all going and that includes you." she spoke clearly, felix sighing.

"okay, put this on and i'll do your hair." she smiled, handing him the suit.

felix changed in the bathroom, and stared at himself in the mirror. he wanted nothing other than to change back into his hoodie and go to bed.

but, his family was invited to a party and felix had to go.

"you look so handsome!" his mother brightly smiled, he saw how happy she looked. he didn't want to let her down, so he went with it.

she quickly styled his hair, and sprayed some expensive cologne on him.

they got in his fathers new car, and headed into the city. it took almost thirty minutes to get there.

felix felt the feeling in his chest get heavier and heavier the moment he stepped into the luxurious building.

his sister walked away and to a group of girls, and began talking with them.

"felix, you don't have to stick with us the whole time. go hang out with the kids." his father said, before leaving with his mother by his side.

felix looked awkwardly looked around the room. he was all alone, he just wanted to go home.

——

he stood awkwardly in the corner of the room, quietly sipping a glass of orange juice.

"hey, you okay?" a voice asked, making felix look around to see no one except a handsome boy.

the boy chuckled, "yes, i'm talking to you." he said with a pretty smile.

felix gulped and awkwardly looked down.

"i'm hyunjin, what about you?" the boy asked, holding his hand out.

"felix!"

felix turned his head, to see his sister standing beside him.

"hi, i'm seowon his sister." she said, taking the boys hand and shaking it.

that's weird.

"you're handsome." she smiled, looking him up and down.

she kept flirting with the handsome boy, which made felix eventually sigh and walk away sadly.

he texted the only person in his contacts other than his family, and immediately got a response.

'i'm nearby.
can i come get you?'

——

jisung stood outside the big building, looking around with confusion.

he checked the address again, yep. this is it.

"hey, sung." jisung barely heard his voice, but turned around, shocked to see felix in a fancy suit.

"felix? is that you?" he asked, looking the boy up and down.

felix nodded, "yeah, it's me.." he sighed.

"you look fucking hot." jisung smirked at the younger, as his face went red.

"s—shut up..." felix stuttered, looking anywhere except at the older.

"what? it's true." he said.

"whatever, let's just go."

——

felix and jisung walked silently along through the almost empty streets. that's what they liked, silence.

they didn't even know where they were walking, just wandering without a destination.

it began raining, before the sound of thunder roared through the sky.

felix held his hand out, as droplets of water hit him.

"i love the rain, it's calming."

they didn't have an umbrella, but they didn't care. it was fun, just walking in the rain and letting it soak you.

sure, they were gonna get sick, but they had no regrets. the boys had fun, running around in the rain with no care in the world.

jisung laughed at felix when he slipped and fell in a puddle, felix screaming out a lace of swears.

jisung held his hand out to the younger, and pulled him up.

"you gotta be careful next time." he smiled, still holding felix's hand.

the two began walking again, through the rain and talking about nothing. they stopped in front of felix's house, and stared at each other.

"i.. gotta get inside now... i'll see you later?" felix asked, about to go in when jisung stopped him.

"lix, i got something for you..." he said, pulling something out of his pocket.

he handed the small object to the younger, felix looking at it.

it was jisung's lighter, with both their initials carved on it.

"i've had it for awhile, the gas finally ran out. i didn't wanna throw it away, so i'm giving it to you.." he shyly confessed, felix smiling at him.

felix hugged the older tightly, catching jisung off guard. soon enough, jisung melted and hugged back.

cold from the rain, yet warm from his hug.

"thank you, i'll take care of it." felix said softly, as he pulled away.

jisung blushed and nodded shyly.
"w—well, you should go inside now." he said, pointing to the door.

"yeah, you're right." felix nodded, just about to open the front door when jisung called out to him again.

"lix... goodnight." he smiled, felix smiled back.

"goodnight sung."

and for once in so long, felix fell asleep comfortably that night.

——

i love the rain
