felix was walking around town when his phone started ringing, he pulled it out of his pocket and saw it was his mother.
"yeah?" he asked, putting the phone up to his ear.
"felix, come home now." his mother said, with a strange tone in her voice.
"why? is something wrong?" he asked, his eyebrows furrowing.
he could hear his mother sigh on the other end of the phone, "please just come home, son." she said, hanging up on him.
felix began walking towards his house, confusion and worry slowly filling up inside of him the closer he got.
when he finally arrived, he opened the front door to an eery silence.
"mom? dad?" he called out, walking into the living room to see the rest of his family sitting on the couch.
"felix, sit down please." his mom said calmly.
felix bit his lip and sat on the living room chair. "what's going on?" he asked, looking at his father.
"seowon told us everything, don't try to make excuses—"
"honey, calm down." felix's mother said, grabbing her husbands hand.
"felix, it's important for us to talk about things like this as a family. what you said to your sister really hurt her."
"and going into our alcohol cabinet?" she said, shock running through her voice.
"what? you say that as if she's hasn't treated me the same way." felix said, crossing his arms.
"felix." his father warned.
"you know it's true, she never wanted a brother and so she never treated me like one." he said, staring at his family.
"that hurts, you know?! just when i thought i got a new and loving family, i get the same shit as my old family!" felix yelled.
"felix, calm down—"
"my father treated me and my mom like shit and that's the whole fucking reason i'm here!" he screamed, not even realizing tears were streaming down his face.
his chest heaved, his family staring at him with shock. he didn't know what else to do and so he ran, ignoring the calls of his mother and father behind him.
after a few minutes of running, he bumped into someone and fell to the ground.
"ow— fuck!" he yelled out in frustration.
"felix?" the said boy turned around and immediately broke down into tears again at the sight of his best friend.
"shit, are you okay? what happened?" jisung asked, sitting down on the ground beside him.
"i fucking hate everything!" felix sobbed into his hands, ignoring the tingling feeling in left ankle.
jisung didn't want to do, so out of panic, he pulled felix into a tight hug. the younger boy sobbing into his chest.
after a while, they both didn't know how long. maybe a few minutes, maybe even an hour. felix stopped crying and pulled away from jisung.
he leaned against the wall behind him, "i hate everything." he sighed quietly.
"why?" jisung asked quietly.
"i don't know, i just... i want everything to go back to normal." he whispered, he paused for a few seconds.
"i miss my mom." he said shakily.
"i miss australia. i miss my old life." felix breathed out, "i miss.. me."
jisung stared at him silently, trying to ignore the feeling in his heart.
"w—would you go back?" he asked hesitantly, felix looked at him. "in a heartbeat." he said.
jisung bit his lip, feeling his heart break at the others words.
"would you come with me?" felix suddenly asked, jisung looking up at him with confusion.
it was silent again, when felix spoke again. "i just wanna scream." he whispered.
"then scream."
"what?" felix asked, looking at jisung with a weird look on his face.
"you said you wanna scream, so scream." jisung said simply.
felix turned away from the older, looking up at the sky. and he screamed. jisung screamed as well, the two of them not noticing the smiles creeping onto their faces.
both of them stood up and continued screaming, shouting out curses and random noises as loud as they could.
"hey! stop screaming, it's one in the morning!" a mans voice yelled out, both boys laughing and running down the road.
