"felix!"

felix heard the voice of daeju call after him, deciding to just ignore the other, he continued walking to his next class.

"felix!" daeju called again, and felix began walking faster.

"you shouldn't ignore me." he heard daeju's voice from behind him, which made him basically start running to his class.

after the class was over, felix went to the bathroom, but froze when he saw daeju and his friends standing and talking with each other.

daeju and felix made eye contact, daeju chuckling and hitting his friends shoulder. the guy turned around and smirked when he saw felix.

"felix.. tsk tsk tsk." daeju said, walking over to the boy. "did you come here to apologize for ignoring me? come on, i thought we were friends?"

"why would you ignore your best friend?" he taunted.

"y—you're not my best friend..." felix whispered shakily.

"oh yeah? then who is it? who did you replace me with?" daeju smirked, "seungmin? or was it that girl from a few days ago?"

"i didn't replace you, w—we were never friends..." felix mumbled, avoiding eye contact with the other.

"aww, but i thought we were best friends? why would you say that to me?" daeju said, faking his sadness.

"felix... lix." daeju smirked again when he noticed the others breathing get faster.

"don't call me that." felix said. "but lix, i thought we—"

"i said don't call me that!" felix yelled, pushing daeju away from him with all his strength.

"i'll call you whatever i want, fa**ot!" daeju yelled, running at felix and pushing him to the ground.

as felix fell, he heard the sound of his phone hitting the floor. daeju tilted his head and smirked, picking up the phone.

the phone started ringing, "who's jisung? is that your little boyfriend?" felix's eyes widened.

he turned the phone off and tossed it on the floor, making felix wince at the sound of cracking.

oh god, he thought to himself.

felix stared up at daeju with fear in his eyes, "you must feel pretty stupid now, huh?" he chuckled mockingly, kicking felix in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him.

——

felix climbed up the side of the house, being careful to not make any noise. when he finally pulled himself up, he peered through the window, seeing no one in sight.

fortunately, the window was already open and he pulled it open more and crawled through.

when he landed safely in the room, he looked around it, wincing when the floor creeked under his feet.

he slowly and quietly walked over to the bedside table, seeing an almost empty pack of cigarettes and an ashtray sitting on it.

he reached for the pack, gasping silently when he heard footsteps and a familiar voice.

"goodnight, dad!" they yelled, and felix quickly ran to the window, climbing out of it just as the door opened. as soon as his feet met the ground, he ran away from the house.

——

jisung sighed as he sat down on his bed, he went to go reach for his pack of cigarettes on his bedside table, his eyebrows furrowing when they weren't there.
