⚠️ [this chapter contains detailed descriptions of a car crash, which may be triggering to some readers!] ⚠️

felix was always an anxious kid, it was only a few weeks into kindergarten, yet here he was.

he was sat in a ball, in the corner of the room as three little boys where yelling insults at him.

he was in tears, crying for them to stop. they never stopped though, they just kept screaming those hurtful words.

soon enough, a teacher came over and brought felix to her office. she gave him some tissues, and made a phone call.

after ten to fifteen minutes, felix's mother came running into the office, hugging her son tightly as his father just stood behind her looking bored.

his parents brought him out and put him in his car seat, and they began driving home while felix silently cried.

"he's always acting like this for no reason." his father spat at his mother.

"honey, not right now please. he's upset and just needs to calm down." his mother explained quietly.

"it's your fault he's like this anyways, you were the exact same when we were younger. crying over nothing and spewing shit." his father said, and his mother gasped.

"not in front of him! why is this my fault? i never—"

"he's just like you! scared over nothing!" he could tell his mother was starting to cry, when she mumbled "please stop, you're scaring felix—"

"i don't care! i will crash this goddamn car right now!" his father yelled at her.

"d—dad.." felix's tiny voice called out, tears once again spilling out his eyes.

"shut up!" he screamed, turning around in his seat to face a sobbing felix.

"honey! watch out!" his mother screamed, hitting her husbands arm.

felix watching in terror as a truck was coming straight for them, and his father swerved the wheel and they drove straight through a concrete wall, and then slammed into another truck making the car flip over.

felix screamed, it was like everything was going in slow motion as pain ran throughout his small body, especially his legs and shoulder.

felix slowly opened his eyes, he was upside down. he stared out the broken window at the sunset with tears in his eyes.

he felt his breath shortening and soon it all went black.

it all went by so fast, he woke up being loaded onto a stretcher and it went black.

then he woke up to multiple doctor's surrounding him, then it was black again.

finally, he woke up to the a nurse beside him.

the nurse gasped, "doctor! he's awake!" she called out in shock.

the doctor's rushed in and began doing check ups on him, and that's when they broke the news to him.

"you've been in a coma for a few months, i'm sorry to tell you but.. your parents didn't make it, son." the doctor said.

felix felt his world shatter, his parents were gone and he had no family in australia or even korea. both his parents were only child's, and so was he.

after getting treated for a few more months, they had sent felix all the way to korea and put him in an orphanage.

he stayed there for a few years, before finally a nice couple adopted him.

he spent half his childhood alone, actually.. all of his childhood.

growing up, he always had anxiety. it was from his moms side of the family. and because of that, he struggled making friends.

after a few years of going to public school, his new parents suddenly decided it was better for him to be homeschooled.

the moment he walked through the door, he just wanted to cry and go back home. but this was his new home.

his sister had always struggled with having a new brother, and always made the younger feel as if he never belonged in this family.

he felt like he wouldn't be accepted everywhere he went, keeping secrets out of fear of being pushed away again.

just like his father and sister did.
