jisung's father had offered to take the boys out to a fancy and expensive restaurant, but jisung suggested they go to a local diner.

"misses choi's diner?" he asked after his father asked which diner he wanted to go to.

"are you sure, son?"

"yeah, expensive doesn't mean good." his father chuckled at that, and agreed before they all got into the car and started driving.

jisung's eyes lit up the moment they walked through the doors of the diner, it was lively with couples and family's all eating with each other and enjoying their time.

felix and jisung's attention was caught by a loud group of people walking into the diner, and felix could only recognize them as daeju and his friends, making him sigh quietly.

jisung heard him and turned towards him as his father announced he was going to the bathroom.

"you okay, lix?" he asked, leaning closer to him with a worried look on his face.

"yeah, i'm fine." felix whispered, though jisung couldn't hear it. "what was that?" he asked again, leaning even closer than before. felix bit his lip, once again nodding and repeating his words.

much to felix's dismay, daeju and his friends sat down at the table closest to them. felix kept his head down begging them to not notice him.

"are you sure you're okay, felix?" jisung's asked once again, pushing his hand on the youngers shoulder.

"y—yeah, it's just..." felix said, before whispering "that's daeju." as quiet as he could.

"that's daeju?" felix nodded at his words, but he almost laughed at the expression that came upon jisung's face when he heard a gasp.

"aww lix, i didn't know you were here." daeju's annoying voice said, making both jisung and felix turn towards him.

the two simultaneously rolled their eyes, when felix finally spoke. "that's not my name." that's all he said, four simple words.

but daeju had already decided he wanted to have fun today.

"do you prefer lixie?" he asked again, a smirk appearing on his face. felix rolled his eyes, and this time jisung was the one who spoke.

"can you fuck off, please? we're trying to have lunch." he said, the tone of his voice sending shivers down felix's spine.

daeju scoffed, "who are you? his boyfriend?" he said, his friends all bursting into laughter at the stupid joke.

"and if i am? are you jealous?" jisung smirked, crossing his arms across his torso.

"i'm not a fucking f*g." daeju and his friends laughed again.

"jisung, please." felix said quietly, but not quiet enough since daeju had caught it.

"jisung? so, he is your boyfriend." daeju asked, "looks at these f*gs having their little date!" one of his friends hollered.

at this point, the only thing felix could think of was 'literally where is jisung's dad holy shit i'm gonna cry.'

felix felt tears building up and he quickly started blinking them away, begging himself to not start crying here, out of all places.

"he's crying!"

"he's always crying for no reason." daeju snickered to his friends, but there was one thing that set him off.

the way he said it. he said it exactly the way his father said it nine years ago. he hated it. he hated that it reminded him of that day.

the day it all went to shit basically.

"you fucker—" before jisung could finish his sentence, felix got up and left without a second to spare.
