felix sat in his math class with an aching headache from the night before, he groaned quietly as he wrote down answers on his work sheet.

"can someone tell me the answer to number six?" the teacher asked, a student in the row behind him answering.

"correct, and what's the answer for number seven?" she asked again, quietly waiting for someone to speak up.

after a few seconds of awkward silence, she called on the student beside felix.

the girl answered and felix internally sighed knowing it was wrong.

"okay... what about you, felix? could you tell me the answer for number seven?"

the moment felix heard his name leave his teachers mouth, it's like he completely forgot the answers for every single question.

he nervously glanced at his paper, clearing his voice. "t—twenty by x?" he asked quietly.

"sorry?"

"twenty by x?" felix asked again, biting down on his lip praying that it was correct even though the calculator gave him the answer and it was most likely correct.

"correct! what's about number eight?" his teacher asked him again. "ninety five by a?" felix asked.

"good! you're on a roll today, felix." she smiled at him, writing on the board.

felix whispered a quiet "thanks" which she most likely didn't hear because of how quiet he was. felix's heart was basically beating out of his chest.

he felt like all of the students were staring at him, even though they were either looking at the board or alseep at the back of the class.

felix anxiously sat in his seat, glancing at the clock every few seconds waiting for the lunch bell to finally go off.

as soon as felix heard the familiar sound of the loud bell ringing throughout the entire building, he was the first to stand up and run out of the classroom.

he made his way to cafeteria, getting his lunch and sitting alone at an empty table. he had his earphones in, blasting his favourite songs so loud to the point people walking by could hear it.

he didn't even notice someone calling his name, gently nodding his head along to the loud beat of the song playing.

his eardrums started ringing from how loud his music was and he winced, turning down the volume a little.

that's when he finally noticed someone calling his name from behind him.

felix pulled down his headphones and glanced at the person, gasping in shock when he saw it was jisung.

he completely paused the music and stared at him.

"i— wha— what are you doing here?" he asked, as jisung stared at him with a smile.

"i thought you didn't start until next week?" felix asked as jisung sat down beside him.

"nope. i said that last week, so it's this week." jisung replied casually, making felix roll his eyes with a smalll smile.

"so, you mean to tell me that you let us both get black out drunk last night knowing you had your first day of school the next day?"

jisung simply nodded, making felix gasp. "you bitch."

"i'm your bitch." jisung smiled, putting his arm around felix.

felix had to admit, the way the elder side hugged him sent butterflies to his stomach.

felix laughed and gently shoved the elder. "you're paying me back for this—"

"felix, who is this?" felix turned around to see seungmin staring at him with his lunch tray in front of him.

"this is—"

"seungmin?" jisung stood up with his mouth hanging open.

"j—jisung?" the two boys stared at each other, before jisung slowly walked over to the tall boy, and then tightly hugged him.

felix stared at them with confusion, "h—how do you two know each other?" he hesitantly asked, standing up.

"seungmin was my best friend in middle school." jisung said with a warm smile on his face.

"sit down! we have to catch up!"

——

felix walked behind the two boys, who were talking each other up ever since lunch.

of course, he was happy for jisung to finally meet his friend after such a long time, but he couldn't help but feel left out.

when jisung glanced behind him to see felix zoning out, he turned back to seungmin and started whispering to him.

"can you help me with something?" jisung asked quietly, making sure felix didn't hear.

"sure, what is it?" seungmin asked, noticing how jisung kept glancing at felix every few seconds.

"does it have to do with—"

"yes, but i want it to be a surprise." jisung cut him off, "can i have your number? so i can text you the details."

the long lost friends exchanged phone numbers and seungmin left to go to his next class.

"felix, what's your next class? i'll walk you there." jisung said, linking his arm with the blonde.

"y—you don't have to, you have class too." felix quickly stuttered out, but jisung just waved him off.

"no, it's fine. my next class is art, i can drop you off at your class on my way."

felix ignored the feeling of his cheeks burning, "t—that's my next class too." he mumbled, looking away from the elder.

jisung smiled at how shy the boy was and nodded, "they gave you a tour, right?" felix asked to which jisung nodded again.

"don't worry, baby. i know this place like the band of my hand." jisung said, slinging his arm over felix's shoulder.

"i doubt it." felix mumbled as they walked into the classroom. everyone in the room, including the teacher stopped and stared at them.

"jisung, right? welcome to our school!" the teacher smiled brightly at the boy, "glad to be, sir." jisung responded, slightly bowing to the tall guy.

"i see you've already made a friend." mr. kang said with a smile, gesturing to felix.

felix gulped nervously at all of the eyes on them, and he awkwardly shrugged off jisung's arm.

he knew that everyone wasn't staring at him necessarily, but at jisung. but yet he still couldn't help but feel as if they were all staring at him.

felix went to collect his sketchbook and a pencil, before making his way to his usual seat at the back of the class.

jisung just followed him and sat right beside him with a sketchbook of his own.
