We all walked into the dungeons together. The second I opened the common room door, Pansy sprinted towards me, arms open. She wrapped them around me tightly and rocked me from side to side.

"Oh my goodness, you'll never believe what happened. So today I was in the Great Hall and-" she started, but Blaise cut her off.

"Pansy, I really think Y/n should just get some rest right now." He carefully grabbed my arm as Pansy pulled away slightly, still having her hands on my arms.

"Rest? Why rest? What happened?" she asked, looking between Blaise and I. Draco was behind me, and I heard him inhale sharply. I looked over at Blaise, wondering if I should even bother Pansy with what happened. I mean, I was fine, it was over. "What happened?" she asked again, a little more firm.

"She drowned, you git," Draco snapped. I turned around looked at him wide-eyed. He looked right back at me, furrowing his eyebrows and squinting. The sass that was radiating off of him was ridiculous. I turned back to Pansy and put my hands on her shoulders.

"It's okay don't worry about it. It's over now so it's okay." I smiled at her.

"Y/n why didn't you say anything? Here I am going on about my life when we should be worrying about yours."

"I'm fine, really Pansy. Madam Pomfrey healed me. I'm okay." She nodded at my statement, then looked over my shoulder. She looked back at me and dragged me away from the boys.

"What's wrong with Draco's arm?" she asked.

"Merpeople scratched him. He'll be fine, the bandage is just for the bruises right now, see?" I said and rolled up the bottom of my pants to show her my similar bruises.

"You two were together?" she questioned, raising her brow at me.

"Yeah, we went down to the Black Lake last night and- wait no not like that. Not together like that." I said, realizing what she was thinking.

"Skinny dipping?" she smirked.

"Pansy!" I yelled at her, smacking her lightly on the arm.

"Fine sorry sorry," she said, raising her hands in defense, smiling at me.

"Astoria spilled her drink on us and so he brought me to his dorm to let me borrow a shirt since he felt bad," I began to explain.

"This one?" she said, pointing to my shirt. I looked down and nodded. I forgot about it entirely.

"And then we went to go head back to Blaise's room but then we just, well then we didn't. We went down to the Black Lake to swim and well, the rest is fuzzy," I laughed out a little.

"So you guys went night swimming together under the moonlight?" she said, raising another brow and smiling.

"As friends, Pansy. We went as friends."

"Right yeah. Friends. You went as just friends." I felt like I was convincing myself more than her at this point. I couldn't let anything happen between Draco and me, it would be bad, right? Blaise said it would be bad to get involved like that, right? So yes. Just friends. We went swimming just as friends.

I nodded at her and told her I was going up to our dorm. She said she was heading out to the Gryffindor tower anyway. Without a doubt to hang out with McLaggen, but it just meant I could read late at night and she wouldn't whine about the light being on. I nodded. She turned to go out the common room door and I went up the stairs.

I put my key in the lock and twisted it until it clicked. I always felt like keys in a school of magic seemed silly but I can't exactly do anything about it. I took off my shoes and walked over to the dresser where I grabbed flannel pants, underwear, and a black t-shirt. I made my way to the bathroom so that I could try and get myself to smell less like a lake.
