Y/N'S POV
"Blaise! Wait, Blaise, please!" I called out. He was farther ahead of me and I had to start walking faster to catch up. "I know you're mad but just let me explain, please." He stopped abruptly and turned to face me.
"Explain then," he snapped. I caught up to him and stood in front of him. He had his arms crossed and a death glare on.
"I know you would tell me he's not relationship material and that he's just, a player-"
"Because he is," he interrupted. I nodded.
"Yeah, so you've mentioned. But I couldn't control it, Blaise. Over the summer I just, I started hanging out with him pretty often and we got close. I didn't think it would lead to this, believe me. After all these years of being friends with him, I didn't think this could happen, but I started to like him and I couldn't control it."
"Oh please," he scoffed, starting to turn away from me. I put my hand on his arm.
"No, Blaise please, I'm serious. I wouldn't believe me either, because I don't seem like the type of person who would fall for him, but it happened anyway. And I'm really sorry I didn't tell you sooner. I know you're his mate and all, but I also know you don't like how he is with girls. It's different Blaise, you have to believe me."
"He's going to hurt you, Y/n, I've warned you so many times before."
"He cares for me, Blaise."
"I've seen the way he goes around. I don't believe he changed just for you."
"Blaise-" I said in a shaky voice. He took a deep breath in and sighed, turned his head to face me. He hesitated before speaking again.
"Does he make you happy?" he asked. I nodded my head.
"Yes."
"Truly?"
"Yes, truly, Blaise." He looked at me and nodded slightly, grabbing onto my shoulders.
"Alright then," he said.
"What?"
"Y/n, I don't think I will ever truly understand what you see in him, but I want you to be happy more than anything. I love you and I don't want to be the reason you're not happy. If you think being with him is what will get you there, then that's what I want for you." I smiled at him and pulled him into a hug. "Thank you, Blaise, I love you."
I backed up to look at him. He smiled back at me. "But if he hurts you, I will kill him," he said. I laughed a little and he did too. "Alright then," I giggled. He pulled me into a side hug and kissed the top of my head. He started making our way over to the Great Hall for breakfast.
DRACO'S POV
"Well, now what?" Pansy asked. I gave her a side-eye.
"I don't know," I snapped.
"Well, I'm hungry, so let's go," she said, dragging me along with her to the Great Hall.
Y/N'S POV
I sat down with Blaise across from me, and not long after, Pansy and Draco came wandering in, sitting down next to us. Draco was hesitant at first.
"Come on mate, I won't bite," Blaise said, patting the seat next to him for Draco to sit down.
"I'm not so sure, that's something a biter would say," Draco mumbled, sitting. Blaise kept giving Draco the side-eye. He was being so passive-aggressive the entire time. He kept looking down at my ring and making faces at it.
