DRACO'S POV
I woke up that morning with Y/n wrapped tightly in my arms. Her hair had fallen onto her face and the sun shone on her. I took my fingers and tucked a hair behind her ear, revealing her face. Pulling her in closer, I kissed the top of her head gently.
"Aw," I heard from across the room. I looked over at Pansy's bed and saw her sitting up, making puppy eyes at the two of us.
"Shut it, Pansy," I snapped at her. She rolled her eyes and kicked her legs over the side of her bed. "I'm just saying 'aw', am I not allowed to? You guys are cute, I can't help it. And this is the happiest I've seen you."
"You don't know anything," I scoffed.
"I beg to differ. I was mildly obsessed with you for, what was it? Five years?" She hopped off the bed and made her way to the bathroom, leaving us alone. I ran my fingers through Y/n's hair, not feeling anything but happy, which was strange. I hadn't felt like this in a while.
Fuck. Death Eater meeting.
"Y/n," I whispered, shaking her slightly. "Y/n, darling, wake up." She didn't budge. She stayed asleep in my arms. "Come on, wake up," I repeated, shaking her again. She squeezed her eyes together tightly and shook her head, trying to wake herself up.
"What happened?" she asked, sitting up and looking down at me.
"I gotta go." I got up off the bed and loosened my, taking it off. My shirt smelled like fire whiskey and I had a headache, but I needed to get back to my house. Without explanation, I left her room and rushed over to mine. I threw open my door, my shirt already half unbuttoned, and grabbed a black button-up from my wardrobe. As I was grabbing my jacket from off my chair, Y/n came in. She rushed over and grabbed my arm, turning me to look at her.
"Where are you going?" she asked sternly.
"The Manor." I turned away from her and fixed my tie in the mirror.
"You're going home? Why?" I turned to face her again. "A meeting," I answered blandly. She gave me a questioning look. "Meeting?"
I lifted up my arm and looked down at it, tilting my head down towards it. "A meeting," I explained, dropping my hand and putting my suit jacket on. "I'll go with you," she offered.
"Like hell you will, you're staying," I demanded, picking up my wand. I gave her a quick kiss before putting my wand in the air. Right as I was about to apparate, I felt her hold onto me. "You're staying here, Y/n." She took her hand off of me. As I went to apparate once more, she grabbed onto my arm. I twisted my arm and grabbed her wrist, holding it between the two of us. "You're being difficult," I hissed, grabbing a spare tie off of my dresser and dragging her over to my bed. I wrapped my tie around her wrist and bedpost, keeping her in place.
"This isn't fair," she complained, squirming around, trying to loosen the tie.
"I'm sorry, princess." I backed away from her until I was on the other side of the room, taking my wand in my hand and holding it up in the air. The air around me became filled with black smoke as I went from my room to the from steps of my house. How dark and lifeless it looked.
Y/N'S POV
Very typical of Draco to always push me away. I can see how he's just looking out for me and my safety, but he needed someone.
Bloody hell, Draco.
I spend the next twenty minutes trying to separate the bedpost and my wrist, which had been so kindly tied together by ferret boy. I held his tie in my hands and I threw myself back in his bed. Always has to be difficult, right? I sighed and tangled my fingers with his tie, lacing it between my fingers and looking up at his ceiling. It was stone and looked nowhere near as enchanting as mine. It was actually boring in comparison. I got up and made my way over to the window, sitting in the windowsill and watching the clouds in the sky unfold.
