Astoria was sitting at my desk, arms crossed and her feet resting on the table. She didn't even look at me as I entered the room and closed the door.
"I don't really want your advice, Y/n," she hissed, staring out my window as a grindylow swam by.
"Astoria-"
"No, I really don't want to hear it." I sat down on my bed in a huff. My sole job today was to somehow teach Astoria how to be a death eater, and now she wasn't even going to look at me because I took my boyfriend back...apparently.
We sat in silence for a while, neither of us moving or attempting to speak. I got up to go the bathroom, not because I had to go, but because I couldn't stand just sitting there. I locked the door and faced the mirror, leaning my hands against the sink and looking up at my own reflection. I wondered what Draco was doing. Was he sitting in his dorm and wondering how Astoria and I were doing? Was he working himself up over his task? Was he in the Room of Requirement? Was he okay?
A loud knock on the bathroom door scared me, causing me to jump.
"Are you coming out anytime soon?" Astoria asked.
"Yeah, just a minute," I replied, smoothing out my dress and fixing the sleeves.
"Well hurry up, I don't have all day." I heard footsteps walk away from the door. What in Merlin's name?
I unlocked the door and stepped out into my room. Astoria was sitting criss-cross on my bed, looking down at her hands. She looked up at me once I cleared my throat to get her attention.
"Well, what are you standing there for? Teach me stuff," she sassed.
"Well, I don't really know where to start if I'll be honest. I asked Draco-
"Don't bring him up," she demanded, waving her hand in the air. "Just tell me about yourself or something. What happened to you?"
"Oh um," I looked behind me and pulled a chair closer to the bed for me to sit on, "well I was kidnapped...I guess and held in the dungeons for a long time. Or at least I think it's a long time, I'm not really sure." I laughed nervously, trying to diffuse the tension. Astoria leaned over and put her hand on my knee in a sort of comforting way.
"I'm so sorry, Y/n," she spoke softly. "I had no idea." I moved my knee and tried to get her hand to move bit it didn't. She kept her hand still. It was weird having her this close to me and not be mean or try to make me jealous.
"Yeah but Draco was there for me the entire time, which was good. I really needed someone and he was that someone, you know?" Astoria took her hand off of me the second I mentioned Draco's name. "What?"
"Can you not mention him? It's bad enough you took him from me, you don't need to keep bringing him up every five seconds," Astoria complained.
"He's my boyfriend, what did you want me to do? He was there for me through all of this and that's what you asked for. For me to tell you what happened." She must have been the most confusing person I've ever had a conversation with.
"Whatever, just teach me some death eater stuff. What do I need to know?" She sat back on my bed, resting her hands behind her.
"Alright well first off, Voldemort doesn't like when you talk back to him."
DRACO'S POV
Y/n left me alone with Blaise and Luna in the Great Hall. I didn't stay much longer after she left. I got up without an explanation and went to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. It was empty so I went up the stairs to the office, knocking on the door.
