DRACO'S POV
I went up to my room and found that Y/n was in the shower. I had nothing better to do so I sat on my bed waiting. That's when I looked to my left and saw a small piece of parchment sitting there. It was folded neatly and wasn't there before I left. I picked it up off the nightstand and read it.
I heard the bathroom door unlock and Y/n stepped out, but I didn't look up at her.
"Hey, when did you get-" she stopped herself when she noticed what I was reading.
"You had this the whole time?" I asked, standing up and towering over her.
"Draco no, it's not what it looks like-"
"Y/n, this could stop everything right now, don't you get that?" I held the paper in front of me and straightened it out. "Dear Y/n," I read, "I must have missed you somehow because I didn't see you at the end of the year. I hope you're doing alright- like she cares" I scoffed and read on, "Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that we're all very hesitant about the start of a new term. I heard what happened at the Astronomy Tower-" I stopped for a split second, thinking she might know something she shouldn't, but then I read on. "Harry was there and he told us everything. I'm so sorry you had to witness that. Snape is going to be the new headmaster come September and it's strange. I mean, he killed Dumbledore. But anyway, I hope to see you. Love, Hermione."
I looked up at Y/n and she stood frozen, a blank expression on her face. "What does she know?" I demanded, holding the paper for her to see. "She says Harry was there, what did he tell them?"
"I don't know," she mumbled, looking down at her hands.
"Y/n, if they know I tried to kill Dumbledore-"
"Draco I told you I don't know what they know. We're going back to school start of term so I can ask them then. They'll probably want to talk about it since Harry was Dumbledore's favourite and they had some sort of bond. You don't get over something like that."
Y/N'S POV
Draco stood there staring at me. The fire in his eyes faded and became plain grey again. I missed how his eyes used to sparkle.
We barely had a minute of silence before a tap at the window scared both of us. I looked over and the same barn owl from before was perched right outside the glass, holding a letter, but a very fancy letter. I went over and got the letter from the owl, letting him fly away into the darkness.
"Where on Earth do you get all these letters from?" Draco complained, following me over to the bed. I sat down, followed by him, and I peeled back the golden wax seal.
We cordially invite you to the wedding of
Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour
Date: 1 August 1997
Location: The Burrow, England
We hope to see you there
Draco was standing in front of me, looking down at the invitation regardless that it was upsidedown for him. "Who's it from? What does it say?"
"It's from the Weasleys," I said, flipping it around for him to see.
"The twins?"
"No, Bill, it's their older brother. He's marrying Fleur and he invited me to go to the wedding." I walked over to the mirror and fixed my hair which was now dry for the most part.
