Harry and I made our way down to Hogsmeade. It was really so beautiful. She snow was falling gracefully and adding a fluffy white blanket to the world.
I tried to get my mind to focus on something other than Draco, but it was pretty difficult, considering his ring on my finger.
We made it to the Three Broomsticks to find Ron and Hermione already sitting down at a table. We went over to join them. I sat next to Hermione with my back facing the stairs, as Ron and Harry sat across from us. The waiter came over as Harry was taking his coat off.
"Anything to drink?" he asked.
"Four butterbeer's and some ginger in mine please," Hermione asked. I watched as Harry stood frozen, looking at something straight ahead. I looked back behind me and all I saw was a long black trench coat making its way up the stairs. I turned back around to face everyone.
"Oh bloody hell," Ron complained. I looked around to see what the matter was. Ginny and Dean were at a table together. "Slick git," he mumbled.
"Honestly Ronald, they're only holding hands," Hermione objected. She looked back at them, then turned to us quickly. "And snogging." I let out a short laugh that I covered with my hand.
"I'd like to leave," Ron demanded. My head shot up, looking at him. "You can't be serious," Hermione complained. The waiter came back with our drinks and he placed them around the table.
"That happens to be my sister," Ron bit back. "So?" Hermione hissed. "What if she looked over here and saw you snogging me? Would you expect her to get up and leave?" Hermione asked. My eyes widened and I turned to Hermione. She had her gaze set on Ron who was slightly taken back by what she had said.
"Hey, my boy," I heard a voice boom from behind us. I turned to find Professor Slughorn making his way over to shake Harry's hand. The two of them made simple conversation, asking about their day. It wasn't until Slughorn spilled his drink on Hermione that we cared to even listen. Slughorn spoke of how he used to throw supper parties for a select few students. He turned to Hermione and I.
"You would be welcome to join as well, Miss Granger, Miss Y/ln."
"Thank you, sir" We both said. He turned to give Harry a goodbye, then turned to Ron before leaving.
"Good to see you, Wallenbee," he said with a smile, walking away. I let out another soft laugh and Ron shot me a look. He turned to look at Harry.
"What are you playing at?" he asked.
"Dumbledore asked me to get to know him," Harry said. "Get to know him?" Ron questioned.
Harry put his hands up in defense. "I don't know, but it must be important. Dumbledore wouldn't ask if it wasn't." He was right. Ron turned back to face Hermione and I, and stared at Hermione.
"You um, you got a little, right there." He pointed to his own lip to indicate that Hermione had something there. She looked down, embarrassed, and wiped her mouth using her sleeve.
Once we had finished our drinks, Hermione was in a significantly better mood. She had wrapped her arm around Ron and I, making our way through the snow back to the castle. We were smiling and laughing, having a good time when we heard someone scream.
"I warned her!" we heard someone yell out. "I warned her not to touch it!" I could see Katie Bell behind her on the bridge. She was laying down and moving sharply from side to side. Quickly, she started flying. She shot straight up in the air with her arms stretched out and looking up. Then just as quickly as she went up, she came crashing down. She was twitching and I started to step forward to help.
