happy Friday, luvs

I looked up at the building in front of us and noticed how much more lively it looked than when I would come over during the summer.

There was warm light flooding from the windows and the outside was covered in twinkling strings of lights. The trees outside were decorated with bows and glistened like stars. We walked up onto the porch and gave the door a knock.

"Hello! Oh come in, come in," Narcissa greeted as she opened the door. We walked into the parlor and I stood behind my parents, looking around the room, as they greeted Narcissa.

"Y/n, so glad you could make it," Narcissa said, stepping closer to me and putting her hands on my shoulder. "I just sent Draco to go get more cups, he should be down this hall right here." She pointed to the left of the staircase. "Go on and find him." She smiled and let go of me, and I made my way down the hall she pointed to. The further down I got, the quieter it became. I didn't see any sign of him until he popped out of a door, struggling to balance cups in his hands.

He looked up at me and smiled. "Y/n darling, hi." He put the cups down on a side table in the hall and walked over to me, cupping my chin with his hand. He leaned in to kiss me and I turned my head away. "What's going on?" he questioned.

"You didn't answer my letters. Not a single one."

"Letters?" he furrowed his brows at me. I stepped back from him and scoffed. "Why are you confused? I sent you all those notes and you didn't reply once."

"I don't know what you're talking about." He backed up from me and walked over to the table to pick up the cups he had left there. He seriously didn't get them?

"My letters, Draco," I tried explaining, but he just shook his head.

"Well, I feel kind of silly now." I dragged my hand down my face a laughed nervously. "I just, I thought my owl got to you but I guess something got lost on the way? I don't know." He took my hand away from my face and looked down at me.

"Kiss me and I'll forgive you," he smirked. I stood up on my tiptoes and put my lips on his. "Come on, we have a party to attend."

I took a few cups out of his hand and followed him back to the ballroom. He led me to a table that was set in the back of the room where he had me put the cups down. I turned around and watched as everyone danced to the music. Gowns and suits twirled in sync with each other and the entire room seemed so alive.

I turned back around to look at Draco and found him bowing down slightly, holding his hand out in front of him.

"Can I have this dance?" he asked. An uncontrollable smile grew on my face as I took his hand and was led to the center of the dance floor.

We laced our fingers together as he took my waist, and moved in sync to the music.

"Where did you learn to dance like this?" I asked. A smirk appeared on his face as he pulled me in closer. "I can't reveal my secrets, sorry love," he said before dipping me down and pulling me back up.

I felt so alive, just like how everyone else on the dance floor must have been feeling. I was with Draco, in his arms, in the middle of what must have been the most beautifully decorated party I have ever been to. He was so mesmerizing, and I admired every detail of his face as he spun me around the ballroom, as though I had never seen him before.

After dancing for a while, Draco leaned in close to my ear and whispered, "You look stunning in this dress, don't get me wrong, but I think I know somewhere it would look better." He pulled back with a smirk on his face and I felt my face heat up. "Second door upstairs, on the left." He nodded his head towards the back of the room and let go of me.
