The two of us raced after Blaise, trying to stop him from doing anything irrational and ruining something.
"Blaise stop it, you have no idea where she even is. Wouldn't it make more sense to just, I don't know, calm down and think?"
"Y/n, we don't have time to think. We're going to go to Hogwarts. I have a feeling she's there." The second the word "Hogwarts" left Blaise's mouth, I felt light-headed. The school had changed in the few weeks we had been back and Draco and I haven't gone back in months. All the death eaters lurking the halls and using the cruciatus curse on other students was sickening. I shook my head.
"I don't think that's a good idea," I tried to reason. Blaise stepped forward and dropped his shoulders.
"Y/n, we need your help. I need your help. Please?" I hated Blaise's ability to convince me to do anything. It's why I ended up with a broken arm when I was nine.
"Fine."
Draco grabbed onto my hand as I stepped forward he held me back. I looked over at him and he shook his head. "You don't have to if you don't want to," he reminded me.
"I want to. I want Blaise to be back with Luna." I tugged on his arm. "Come on." He was hesitant but only because that's just how Draco is. I held onto Blaise's hand and Draco apparated us to his room. I looked around at the room. It was neat and organized; exactly as we had left it. No light flooded into the room like how it used to. Everything seemed to be very dull for the past few months. Maybe it was the dark mark burning into my forearm or maybe it was the impending war that was bound to break at any moment but nothing seemed right lately.
Blaise threw the door open and announced he was going to the Ravenclaw Tower to check Luna's room. He also mumbled something about "killing those bloody bastards" in reference to the death eaters that took Luna and how "they'd be sorry they ever showed their faces". We were going to stop him but he was gone before we could even try.
Draco sat down on his bed, sighing as he did so. "I feel like I'm on a bloody goose chase looking for this girl," he complained. I sat down beside him and dropped my legs over his, wrapping my arms around his neck.
We sat in silence. We both knew we should have been out looking for Luna, but we felt like time had stopped. No one was going to bust into the dorm like they would at the Manor. No one was going to come and threaten to kill us. No one was going to take me away from Draco or him away from me. I rested my head against his shoulder and breathed in deep. The air smelled like Draco; the green apples, cologne, and mint.
"I love you," he mumbled. I held him tight.
"To the stars and back," I responded. Draco stood up and reached his hand out to me.
"Come on," he muttered. "We gotta find Luna if we want even half a shot at getting Blaise to listen to us." I grabbed his hand and stood up from the bed, following him out of his dorm and into the corridor. The warm weather started to settle in and the dungeons were no longer as ice-cold as I was used to them being. We didn't know where to start so we spent our time dodging students, professors, and death eaters in the halls, just trying to get around. We avoided the Ravenclaw Tower or the way to get there since we figured Blaise had it covered. We weren't planning on being there much longer so we didn't want to waste our time.
"Draco, the library," I whispered to him, tugging on his arm. He looked over at me and raised his eyebrow. "The library?" he questioned. I nodded my head and started pulling him in that direction.
"I don't understand, what's in the library?" he asked, following me.
"Well for starters, probably Luna. If anyone was going to spend their free time in the library, it would be Luna, and I have a feeling she might be there." I rounded another corner and saw the grand wooden doors in the distance. I also saw the spot where Draco had pushed Astoria against the wall and kissed her as though they were running out of time.
