I laid on Draco's bed waiting for him to get back. I figure he went storming out to go talk to Blaise, and I was scared of what he said to him. I didn't want to lose Blaise. I was sure he would calm down after trying to see things through, or at least I was hoping he would. I decided I had to go see Blaise.
I got up and started to make my way to the door when Draco opened it. He stood in the doorway with both hands on the doorway, blocking my way.
"Where are you going?" he asked.
"I need to talk to him," I said, trying to push my way past him.
"No no, Y/n no, bad idea." He kept shifting from side to side, trying to stop me from leaving.
"Why? What did you say to him?" I stopped trying to move from side to side and stared at him in the eyes.
"Nothing," he objected. He stopped moving, dropped his arms, and started to come closer to me. I looked at the empty space he had made and tried to make a run for it.
"No," Draco yelled out. He turned around sharply and wrapped his arms around my waist, picking me up off the ground before I could even leave the room. He closed the door with his foot and walked farther into the room. I kicked my legs, trying to get him off of me, to get him to put me down, but he wouldn't.
"Put me down, Draco!" I yelled out.
"Are you going to try and talk to Blaise?" he asked.
"Yes, my goodness!" I kicked and squirmed around in his arms.
"Well, then I can't do that."
"Draco you're being ridiculous. Let me down." He refused. "I'll obliviate him, Draco. Then he won't remember. You have to let me go over there." He put my legs on the floor and turned me around with his hands on my waist.
"You think you can do that?" he asked. I nodded.
"And I'll have to because you definitely fucked it up." I walked backward, turned around, and put my hand on the door handle. I heard Draco gasp from behind me.
"I did not," he tried to defend. I turned around to face him.
"So you two had a nice friendly talk? Bullshit. Come on now." I turned back to the door, opened it, and walked out into the corridor. I made my way to Blaise's dorm and heard Draco's footsteps in the distance.
It was wrong to erase my best friend's memory, I knew that. I had hoped I wouldn't have to, but after what had happened between the two of us and whatever happened between him and Draco, I knew there was no way I could smooth it over. We could tell him on our own terms when we were ready, but now, there was no other option but to rid him of his memory.
I knocked on Blaise's door and he opened it with a smile that quickly faded when he saw who it was. I put my hand on my back pocket and wrapped my fingers around my wand, keeping it concealed, yet at the ready.
"What are you doing here? Here on account fo Malfoy? Come to yell at me too, perhaps?" he asked in a stern voice.
"Sorry, Blaise," I said under my breath and took my wand out from my back pocket, pointing it at him. "Obliviate," I whispered. Blaise's expression went blank right in front of me. I felt terrible for wiping something from Blaise's memory. I always told him everything.
"Hey, Y/n, what's going on?" Blaise asked in a cheery tone.
"Hey, Blaise, hi, um, I was just going to head down to the library, just wondering how you and Luna were doing?" I asked, not having time to prepare anything normal to talk about.
