Y/N'S POV

It's been three months since school started. Absolutely nothing has been the same.

Death eaters lurked the halls and used unforgivable curses whenever they got the chance. They steered away from the killing curse which surprised me but were far from merciful with the cruciatus curse.

Wrong answer?

Crucio.

Spoke up in class?

Crucio.

Showed up late?

Crucio.

It was safer to be at the manor; which is evidently where we spent most of our time.

Draco and I were in his room at the Manor. He was standing with his back up against the bedpost and I sat on the bed, playing with my ring. The radio was on but very quiet, barely above a whisper.

"Shut that off, will you?" Draco demanded, whipping his head towards me. I didn't comply. Instead, I leaned in closer to the song playing and turned the dial, making the music louder.

"Forgive us now for what we've done. It started out as a bit of fun. Here, take these before we run away," the radio sang. I looked up at Draco who stood in place, biting the tip of his thumb while resting his right elbow against his left arm.

I stood up from the bed and held my hand out to him. "Will you dance with me as though the world was just our own?" I asked, curtsying as I saw people do at the ball all those months ago. He slowly dropped his arms and turned to me, bowing and taking my hand, pulling me closer.

"I will," he whispered. I leaned my head against his chest with my right hand intertwined with his left. His right arm was wrapped around my waist, pulling me as close as he could; scared to let go.

"Hey, little train, we are all jumping on. The train that goes to the Kingdom."

We swayed from side to side, completely putting ourselves in our own world where all that mattered was the love we had for each other. Draco kissed the top of my head gently, lingering a little longer. I felt a tear fall onto my cheek and wiped it away.

"We're happy, Ma, we're having fun; and the train ain't even left the station."

"I love you, Draco," I said, unsteadily. My voice broke when I spoke, causing Draco to notice. He looked down at me, putting his pointer finger under my chin and bringing my head up to look at him.

"I love you, darling, please don't cry." He tilted his head and pressed his lips against mine. "Everything's going to be alright."

HERMIONE'S POV

We've been traveling for months. We didn't have a good sense of time, but that wasn't relevant. We needed to find the remaining Horcruxes and so far, we only had one. A necklace that was messing with our minds and we had lost Ron to it a few weeks ago.

Ron was yelling at Harry, telling him that he doesn't understand the pain he was going through. He didn't know where his family was and he listened to the radio daily, hoping not to hear their names called. The two boys shot insults at each other, one after the other. I begged Ron to take that blasted Horcrux off of him, knowing that's what was causing all of this, and he did, but it was followed by his grabbing his back and storming towards the door. He asked if I wanted to stay or leave, and I just stood there, staring at him. Before we knew it, he had left us. We didn't know where he went and there was no use tracking him if we didn't want to get ourselves caught.

I sat on the steps that we had in the tent, reading the book Dumbledore had left to me. The radio Ron used to listen to sat beside me on a small side table. The channel had been changed from what Ron used to listen to, to a station that played music. I heard the beginning of a song I used to hear when I would spend my summers at my parents' house in the Muggle World.
