After classes and after Pansy had made yet another mess of our room from trying to find an outfit, she dragged us to Blaise's room. I grabbed a book on my way out and put it in my pocket. She knocked on the door and Blaise opened it, letting us in. Pansy immediately went over to the table that had drinks and then went over to the fireplace to talk to Astoria.
I grabbed a drink and stood at the foot of Blaise's bed. I felt kind of awkward standing by myself, but the rest of the room seemed to be too busy to notice. Pansy and Astoria were keeping each other occupied. They were both equally talkative so there was never going to be an awkward moment in the conversation.
Crabbe and Goyle were talking to each other, and eating of course. Blaise was over with Draco by the window, talking to Theo who I didn't even know was invited.
I sipped my drink and took the book out of my pocket. I started to read but then I saw black shoes come close and I looked up to see Draco standing next to me.
"I know you're not reading right now," he said to me.
"Well-" I went to defend myself, but he took the book out of my hand and closed it, looking at the cover. He smiled and looked up.
"As good a book as this is, I can't let you read it right now." He put the book in his back pocket and looked back at me.
"Fine then, what should I do?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"Well since you asked," he said, and grabbed my hand, pulling me closer to the group. I went along with him and stood there as he talked to Crabbe and Goyle. Crabbe was telling a story about how he fell asleep in the Great Hall and woke up at three in the morning. Then Goyle went on to talk about how he remembered seeing him asleep, but decided to leave him there, thinking he needed sleep and that a professor would wake him when it was time. No one did. Obviously.
Then the two of them went over to the drinks table to get something for themselves, leaving Draco and me alone again.
We were hardly alone for a significant amount of time before Astoria walked over to the two of us and tried to get Draco's attention by biting her lip. He kept his eyes on me and sipped his drink.
"Hey Draco," she said with a flirty voice. He closed his eyes and inhaled, then turned to face her.
"Evening," he answered shortly.
"I was just wondering what you're going to be doing later?" she said, inching closer to him. I was so uncomfortable, nevermind Draco. I was considering stepping away.
"Nothing that involves you," he snapped.
"Oh come on," she teased and brushed her hand against his arm. He quickly grabbed her wrist and threw it towards her.
"Knock it off, Astoria," he hissed. She scoffed and threw her drink at him, then turned and walked away. It ended up on both of us and we stood there watching as her drink dripped down our clothes.
Draco looked down at the disaster and shook his head. He looked over at my shirt and saw how bad it was.
"I'm really sorry about that," he said while looking at me. "Here, come with me," he said and offered his hand out to me. I grabbed it and he lead me out of Blaise's room.
He brought me down the hall, opened his door, and brought me inside. I stayed close to the door while he went over to his dresser to get a new shirt. I looked around and saw how organized his room was. His bookshelf had each book neatly placed. His bed was made very nicely and his sheets were smoothed out. His floor was clear of any clutter. Whether or not he used magic to keep his room clean, it was clean none the less.
