Sometimes when life is tough

And hope seems very rare

Problems mound in mountains

Too steep for one to bear

Then each of us must choose

Whether to take first step

Search to find solutions

Or let our progress schlep

When we work divided

Headway becomes muddled

When we work together

No longer befuddled

Alone answers come slow

Together we move fast

We can solve our problems

Although they seem quite vast

Each of us must choose

Whether to stand alone

Or to work side by side

Where good ideas are grown
