Truth Changes

My world is not black and white

It shines in all shades of gray

Please spare me from your judgement

As I stop and think and weigh

Right and wrong are simple words

To describe a complex world

Intent must be considered

Before critiques unfurled

Assumptions must be researched

To grasp a view's foundation

Data needs to be reviewed

To catch bias migration

I do not believe in truths

That cannot change over time

When new facts are discovered

I can pivot on a dime

So, let's talk and share ideas

That are free from right and wrong

So, we can grow together

Build a friendship that is strong

For when we share our ideas

May discover a new view

Flipping our rights and our wrongs

Changing everything we knew
