Nature's Perfect Place

Warm front from the south

Bright sun high above

Heats up autumn day

Don't need hat or gloves

Rustle of dry leaves

Scrape across my deck

Robin flips brown leaves

Head cocks, then quick peck

As the day warms up

Drawn to garden beds

Sit on garden stool

Hawk flies overhead

Fresh air fills my lungs

Pull weeds for awhile

Check out plants withdraw

Prep for winter's trial

Spook large brown bunny

Hiding under bush

Leaps across the street

While tail trails soft whoosh

Work 'til back objects

Time to take a break

Slowly stand up tall

As my muscles quake

Stroll my garden beds

Shake my head and smile

Nature filled my beds

With her untamed style

Bend to Nature's whim

Lesson I embrace

Nature and her plants

Know their perfect place
