"Can you go any fucking slower?" I spit towards the blond as he drives through the forest roads, his eyes focused on the road, the headlights being the only source of light through the thick trees.

"Can you chill for a sec? It's too dark I can't see shit."He says back and I roll my eyes, sighing to myself as I sit back against the cold leather, leg bouncing up and down with my eyes focused on the red dot that hasn't moved ever since we got this location, that's where she is and we're so fucking close already.

The tension in this vehicle can be cut with a knife, the three of us are sitting on the edge of our seats the closer we get to the location, because none of us know what's waiting for us once we get there. For all we know we could be walking into a trap.

I don't think I was breathing until the words I wanted to hear left Louis' mouth, words that almost made my heart stop beating. I remember dropping my coffee on the ground and running towards him, hearing the loud noise of glass breaking in the kitchen where Niall and Alice were, and seeing Alice burst into the living room with Niall following behind her, both of their eyes wide like dears caught in a headlight.

I remember the way my stomach had dropped to my shoes, seeing that she was in Italy like we had suspected, near the Amalfi coast, but more on the outskirts. My eyes were glued to the screen as Louis hurried to switch her location to a secure network so that no one could hack into her necklace and get to her before we could.

Suddenly it felt so real, I could finally picture it in my head. I could picture her getting that tattoo done without her consent, having to live with her grandfather, having to be a part of his gang, or maybe because she was a woman and he was a misogynist asshole he wouldn't even want her to be a part of any of his businesses or deals. But I don't know, not yet at least, and I can't wait to hear all of it from her sweet voice.

"Go tell Finn and Dev, you have an hour to pack your shit and get in the car. I'll call for a plane." I said towards Alice and she nodded eagerly, eyes glossy and lips turned into a relieved smile before she ran out towards the stairs.

Niall didn't need me to tell him what to do, because he had already read my mind and was already packing two bags of medical equipment, medicine, bandages, IV bags, needles and all that shit before even packing his own bag.

As I got my phone out of my pocket, Devon came running down the stairs before she stopped in front of me, breathing heavily and eyes wide and I nodded at her, I watched as relief washed over her and I barely a second her arms were wrapping around me and a sob made her shoulders shake. 

"I told you we'd find her." she said and my throat tightened.

"I know." I said quietly, wrapping my arms around her shoulders and gently stroking her back as I tried to stay composed, I knew that I couldn't let myself go, that I had to find her before I could, I had to know for myself that it was real.

She had let go of me and hugged Louis as well, thanking him and kissing him while I made sure a private plane would be ready for us within two hours, and with that I quickly packed a bag of my clothes, making sure to put her journal in it. I still hadn't read anymore pages ever since that one time, I just couldn't bring myself to but I still wanted it with me. I still had some space left in my bag and decided to zip it shut, but something made me look towards the desk, and I caught sight of the polaroid camera she got me for christmas. I sighed to myself and grabbed it, putting it in the bag before closing it for good.
