"Really?" He looks as if I just told him he won the lottery or something.
"Is it the one next to the apple store? I wanted to buy ground coffee from there, I'm out." I say, biting a piece of my toast and looking at him, leaning on my elbows.
"Yeah, it is." He mumbles, taking a sip of orange juice and looking at me.
"Great, I just need to get ready." We both finish eating, talking about random things, like the fact that he's been boxing with Louis since they were fourteen. I asked how they met and he told me that it was a long story, and I guess he didn't feel like talking about it, so I didn't push the subject further.
After we ate breakfast I meant to help him clean out our plates, but he told me that he was fine so I went back home. I walked back to my house, and like everyday I started cleaning the house. Since I do it everyday it's obviously not dirty, but I do need to quickly clean the kitchen, both of our bathrooms and my closet.
It only took about an hour to do most of it, and I was now in my closet. Rummaging through my piles of clothes on the ground I started to put them on hangers or folding them, depending on where they were going. The sound of something falling on the hardwood floor startles me and I almost jump out of my own skin, immediately turning around only to see Devon picking up a product that she must've dropped.
"Fucking hell you scared me!" I whisper shout, my hand clenching the material of my hoodie over my chest as I try to calm my racing heart.
"Sorry, I'm sorry I just thought you'd want this." She says in a hurry, looking like a child being grounded and I sigh, dropping my shoulders as I relax.
"What is it?" I ask, placing the hanger on the rack and picking up another item of clothing to fold.
"Just skincare, I bought it but I already have too much so you can have it if you want." She places the few bottles on the island and uses her hands to push herself up to sit there too.
I grab the bottles and quickly read the label for a few seconds before taking them to my bathroom, and placing them on the counter next to the sink.
"Thanks, are you taking a break?" I get back to organizing my closet, placing the items I don't want anymore in a pile aside and folding or hanging the rest back.
"Yeah, I'm so tired of drawing ducks. I swear if I see one more today I might cry." She sighs, lying on her back with her hands on her stomach and her feet dangling in the air. I roll my lips into my mouth to stifle a laugh, but she still notices and glares at me.
"Yeah ah ah. What are you even doing anyways?" She narrows her eyes at me in confusion.
"Getting rid of things." I mumble, glancing at her who is still looking at me as if I was about to explode or something.
"Okay..." She trails off and I just keep on folding, pretending that this isn't weird.
I don't particularly get emotionally attached to clothes, but I don't like getting rid of them either. So I know that this is strange coming from me.
"Wanna watch a movie later?" She asks, looking up to the ceiling while I fold the last few pieces of clothing.
"I can't, I have plans." I respond with my back to her as I place the now folded items on the shelves.
"Plans?" I hear the confusion in her voice and turn around once I'm done, nodding at her and walking to the bathroom.
"Yeah,Harry and I both need to go to that coffee place, I also need to go to the grocery store on the way back." I look through my cupboards, finally finding my medication and swallowing a pill dry. I hear her jump down from the island and follow me into the bathroom.
