-Lucy Urbinati-

"What are you getting them?" She asks as we walk inside the mall, our arms linked together as if it would protect us from the cold wind and the snow that started to fall this morning. I sigh out of relief once we are inside, shivering with the last gust of wind coming my way and I look up at her.

"I don't know, will you help me pick something for Alice?" She nods, giving my arm a gentle squeeze with a warm smile.

"Of course." She keeps on looking at me as we walk and I perk an eyebrow up, tilting my head to the side.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask suspiciously, pointing to a store to indicate her that we're going in.

"You look different today." She says and I frown, my face screwing up in confusion.

"What do you mean?" I laugh and she lets go of my arm once we're in the store and we start looking at all the different handbags.

"Don't know, you look good though." I stare at her side profile for a while, unsure what to say back to her. I brush it off and start looking at the different handbags and other accessories that I could get for Alice.

Out of nowhere I start to feel uncomfortable, I don't really know what came over me or what convinced me to turn around, but I did, my eyes searching for something or someone out of place. It felt like someone was right behind me, like I was being observed but no one was there when I turned around.

"You okay?" Devon's voice snaps me out of it and makes me turn around to see her, I give her a small smile and nod, because I was just being paranoid. But I can't help but think back to last night, after I found the mic under the table during our date, we went to Rosie's and I forgot about it.

How could I forget about it? Someone tried to spy on Harry and me, I still have no idea why, I don't know who it was, or what they want. Someone tried to kidnap me, and I brushed it off? I have been living my life like nothing happened, of course I've been careful to not go out that much but I've basically been brushing everything off, like nothing was actually happening to me; Like my parents weren't murdered, like I wasn't almost kidnapped, beaten down, and followed everywhere I go. Yet here I am in one of the busiest malls of New York, Christmas shopping like if I didn't have a single care in the world.

"What about this one?" I look up at her, looking at the expensive white purse with gold details on it.

"You think she'll like it?" She nods and I bite on my lip, looking at the bag until a salesperson came and started to advise us. Since it's kind of a luxury store, she gave us drinks while we shopped because we spent a lot of time in there.

I ended spending a lot of money in here for the twins, but I don't really care because it's gonna be worth it. I love giving them presents, and seeing the look on there faces when they open them. I just think that they deserve all of it, I love them so much. I didn't get anything for Devon obviously, because I didn't want her to see what I was gonna buy for her. So I'll wait until tomorrow to buy her presents.
